I want these phone calls to stop.

Just recieved the second phone call Avery Place saying I was chosen to recieve a free seurity system,second in two days. The women has avery thick,maybe Indian accent,she was told not interested,but tried to keep talking.

Not only is in located in Mt but it seems they also have an office around Boston Mass. We have ask them nicely to please stop calling. I received a phone call from Avery Place yesterday and then today.. So I went and bought a whister and now when they call I blow on it so hard the b*tches hang up.. We are on the Ky no call list and not we have different computer calls about home mortage rates and crap I am so sick of this mess These telephone Companys should put a stop to this it is not like they can not do it they just don't want to...

Received a call from 406-948-8156, AVERY  PLACE on caller I.D. The internet says it is an apartment building complex in Florida, so this is a boggis number not to be answered.

I received call from 406-948-8156 a woman with a foreign ancient informed  me that I was picked to receive a free security system (GE Security System) all I needed to do was give them names of 10 other people. My caller ID showed the call came from AVERY PLACE....she asked me to hold to speak with her manager. So called manager repeated the information about the security system but then proceeded to ask me a few more questions, I stopped him and asked him for their mailing address, he became defensive and said they are located in Tampa, Florida and he again proceeded to ask me more questions. I again interrupted him and asked for the mailing address, he wanted to know why I needed that information and I politely explained that I needed to know who I'm dealing with because there's so many scams before I reveal any of my personal information.He then became very upset and hung up........HOW BOUT THAT!!!!! I A valid organization would not have any issues with revealing the organization's information.

These scam calls need to stop....I sent a report to the FBI fraud department.

I received the same call and hope that someone is looking into tracking these Yahoos down and canning them.

Made me feel uncomfortable when they called. Very strange!

i also got the same call,i was dozing on the recliner when a man with a accent said hello how are you doing sire? ihung up right away because i was mad i was woke up. the next evening i got in from work my phone showed he called agian 12:16 pm 7/01/11 so i called back,it said something about becks marketing and added to a no call list.call on the phone shown as avery place.could this be avery place apartments,morehead,ky ?

I got a call on the house phone - the same survey nonsense. My nephew answered and then handed it to me. The call lasted long enough for me to hear a strongly-accented man (Southwest Asian?). The creepy thing is that I just got a call on my cell showing a missed call from this number. I guess someone trolled for my info and sold it to Level 3.

I have tried the threat of legal action, futile and frustrating; but take heart their is one tactic that so far has proven 100% effective.  You will require a cordless phone (it's not necessary, just courteous to anyone with in a half mile distance) and an air horn.  The one I have is a real ear drum burster.  First I make sure it's the guilty party, then I fain interest, while the sales person give the sale pitch, I get my air horn and go to the garage (so as not to frighten any one).  At this point I remind them that I have ask them to put me on the no call list, if they are polite, no harm no foul, if not I let my air horn do the talking. So far no one has ever called after this tactic is used.

Saw this number on my cell and did not call it back.  Decided to look it up on the internet first.  Good thing....thanks to all the others and their experiences, I will NOT call it back.  I was quite surprised to see how many others had this number reported!

Debt collectors are trying to locate a David Banks.  He apparently had the same phone number over ten (10) years ago. Our number has been a private unlisted number since 2002. We have been harassed since 2002 with calls from Collectors.

One tip, when asking for information always preface it with the term "For legal service". That gets their attention.

Got a call at 7:50 PM tonight, while eating dinner.  Came in as "Out Of Area" and came in on our home BUSINESS line - at nearly 8PM!  Answering machine picked up (we don't answer unknown callers) and I thought I heard a woman's voice say "Hello, hello?" but before it started recording.  No msg left.  406 is supposed to be a MONTANA area code, so if they say they are from TEXAS, or FLORIDA or Boston, MASS - they are obviously LYING.  This most likely is a SPOOFED number, originating OVERSEAS in INDIA, PAKISTAN, TURKEY, AFRICA or some other god-forsaken Muslim hellhole.  These people MAY even be funding TERRORIST activities with the funds they manage to SCAM out of innocent people.

I've been called with the "you won a GE Security System" many times before.  That's been a scam since at least 2006.  THAT's why we no longer pick up on these calls.

I also think AMERICAN BIG BUSINESS CORPORATIONS are behind these calls.  I recently opened a new SEARS CREDIT CARD ACCT through CITIBANK.  Been getting SPAM calls for over 4 years, but since opening this account they have INCREASE EXPOTENTIALLY.  Yesterday I got 4 calls, today 3 and this past Sunday got 4 as well.  ON A SUNDAY!

Today I called CITIBANK/SEARS and gave them 'what for'.  Told them I was getting ready to put in complaints with the FTC AND FCC against them.  They were actually very meek and apologetic (they certainly didn't DENY that they were behind these calls) and the rep 'set my privacy settings' to as STRINGENT as possible.  Funny, I THOUGHT I did that with another rep just about 5-6 weeks ago!

SO, if you have ANY CREDIT RELATIONSHIP with SEARS or CITIBANK, maybe you should call them and DEMAND they set YOUR PRIVACY settings to as PRIVATE as possible, and see if it makes any difference.

I wondering if they SELL or GIVE our credit info and PHONE NUMBERS to these [***] in their call centers overseas just to see if they can't get EXTRA charges put on our accounts - and make money off us FRAUDULENTLY.  There HAS to be SOME BIG BUSINESS BEHIND this for this to be SO PREVALENT and WIDESPREAD.  SOMEONE IN AMERICA IS GETTING RICH OFF THESE CALLS, or else our politicians would have put a stop to this by now.
