I said "hello", she said "hello".  There was a pause.  Things were already weird.  She sounded Mexican, I sounded not-Mexican.  The information at hand processed in both of our minds, but what were our agendas, and how was this convergence of fate to progress?  I think I said, "Ya" in an annoyed and inquisitive tone after the silence went on for too long.  She said her name was [something Mexican that I forget...perhaps Maria or Marianna] and then proceeded to ask me something about my smoke alarms after qualifying that this was not a 'sales call' or maybe she said 'service call'.  Either way, I asked, "Who are you?" and she hung up.  I don't have caller ID on my land-line, so I used the old school *69 function.  The number repeatedly came up as a busy signal.  The Mexican Smoke-Detector Nannies won this round.

Received a call on my office phone earlier today, just heard music...then received acall on my cell phone about an hour later...didn't answer.....Then got another call at my home number later this evening...again didn't answer.  thought that it was kinda of strange that I received the same call on three different phones in the same day.

Just got a call from this number.  Didn't answer it though.  Glad I didn't.

6/2/2011 - Got a robo call just music

6:40 PM I just rceived a call from this #. It was hold music and when I said hello it disconnected. My # is registered with the DO NOT CALL.

Got this call today on my cell phone.  Caller said he was Michael from some General Electric.  Told him I never heard of that company and then I said goodbye and hung up.

My wife got it earlier on her cell phone and told the not to call again.

Have received many calls from this number.  Really Annoying!

received a call yesterday and again today from this number (Indian accent).  They picked me and another homeowners in my area (aren't I lucky?) to receive a promotion home security system........

My husband received a call from this phone number on his cell phone.  About 20 minutes later they called my cell phone.  Didn't answer any phone

Just hung up on the Indian male that told me I was selected to receive a free GE security system.  He asked if I was the home owner and I disconnected the call.  Super ANNOYING!

I don't like how you are stereotyping the people you talked to. How do you know it was a black female? and more importantly, what gives you the right to use the word 'ghetto' you have no right to use words you know nothing about. Thats pure ignorance.

Received a call from this number an hour ago.....answered a few questions about smoke detectors and fire extinguishers........then the woman became extremely pushy and demanded my name.....I told her I was refusing to give my name, if it was a "survey" , than she did not need my name. She said she would keep calling me back until I gave it. I told her I was on the DNC list,s he put the phone down and started crumpling paper.......very, very rude woman named Anita ( Asian accent).......I called back to complain, but got a recording to take my name off list.........

Left a 4 second message with just a "hello".  Heard music in the background.  Don't want to receive calls from this number.

I have received calls on a daily basis from this number. I answer about 90% of the time and there is elevator/hold music and then it hangs up after a couple of seconds. The one time there was someone on the other line, it was a woman with a heavy accent and I couldn't make out where she was calling from. As soon as I realized that it was a telemarketing call, I advised her that I was on the do not call list and that soliciting to cell phones is agains the law. She thanked me for my time and hung up on me and I continue to get 3-4 calls from this number a day. There has to be some way to report them! Wish I could find out who sold my information to these people!!!!

Everyone should go to this website and file a complaint: https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx  I have filed one and maybe if enough people also file one, they wont be able to call us any longer!

I have one telephone with 4 different phone numbers ("distingtive ring" from Verizon) and just received calls from 406-948-8156 on each of my 4 phone numbers ... I answered them each by saying "Hello?" and the caller(s) hung up  .... I BELIEVE THEY ARE TRYING TO REACH THE ELDERLY to scam them  ... and my voice does NOT sound as if I am elderly

Called but I did not pick up. The message that was left on the machine was just a couple seconds of hold music then it hung up.

Caller ID says the number is from Glendive, MT

Got a call from this number - no message was left
