Maybe all of us on here could get a class action suit against them...Any attorneys out there interested?

1997? That's beyond the statute of limitations in every state. Dispute the claim at all costs They don't have a leg to stand on (25 yrs) they're NUTS

I believe this is portfolio recovery, but the caller id says unknown name.  Isn't this against their guidelines with the state?

I have received a call from this 407-347-4264 and when I picked up,  Ms. Alissa asks for my husband, Mr. (last name), and does not give the name of the company, just initials, or why she is calling when I  asked who is this and I advise he is not home. Ms. Alissa when can she call back.  Again I ask what company is this and why do you want to speak to my husband and the reply was that this call is recorded and it is for Mr. ____.   Reply,  then if it is something that you can not discuss with his wife, then he will not be available to speak you at any time and put us on your do not call list, I  disconnected/ ended the call  and called right back to speak to supervisor and request our number to be put on their do not call list and they connected me back to Alissa and it turns out that that the unprofessional, no manner call was in error!

We have a common Last name and the last name  was correct but not the first name is not my husband's name.  

They really should do some research before upsetting people with their lack of  Etiquette and professionalism.
