Verizon does have a blocking option now. If you click on the number in your call log and scroll down, there's an option to block the number.

I get these calls on land line as well. I store it as scam and set ringer to off. This has save me so much time and frustration !

I have a Verizon dumbphone and can only block 10 numbers.  These scammers keep using new false numbers, so blocking a call I already received only really helps once or twice. By tomorrow they have new numbers.

Since Verizon will only allow (without charge) 10 numbers to be blocked for a limited period of time there is an app called Mr Number which will allow you to block all calls/texts from a specific area code for an unlimited length of time.

I have received several calls from unknown long distance phone numbers and i never answer.

Got a call from this number. Didn't pick it up and no message. Added it to the reject list.

I have received this call more than once and did not answer, they did not leave a msg. I do not answer any calls from out of state area codes. Like a previous person said....if it's important they will leave a msg.

Do what I do and have a contact name as scam/spam and add that number to that contact (if your phone lets you do that).  I never answer a call if I don't know who they are then I come to this website and check the number. If it is a scam number I just add it to that contact name and if/when they do call again it comes up as a scam/spam call and I just disconnect.

These jokers actually left a message this time. It was a recorded message about winning a bogus trip. I want to string these people up by their toe nails and stick hot pokers in their eyes.

Than is exactly what I do.  Not sure what the person is talking about in regards to scrolling down after clicking on the number and adding it to a BLOCKed list?  I have varizon and they will only let you block 5 numbers and only for 30 days.

These spammers are using two numbers 407-934-3451 and 407-933-3179.
If you do not know the number, do not answer the phone. If important they will leave a message.

The blocking feature on my phone only hides calls/texts from numbers I block. The number shows up in the spam/blocked list on my phone, I just don't know unless I look. The caller doesn't know they're blocked. To me that pointless and doesn't keep them from calling. I want the caller to get a message saying they're blocked and their call will not go through.

I got a call on my mobile phone today at exactly 3 p.m. My phone was in the other room and there was no message left.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but when will these scammers get it? I absolutely never answer the phone unless I know who is calling. Even then I often don't answer if I am busy or not in the mood to talk. I report every suspicious call to the FCC and block repeat callers.
Don't scammers have a master list with entries such as: "sucker" and "never answers phone"?

This number called my cell but did not leave a message. Hoping it was a junk call only. Glad we report these so others can read about it. I try to do this with any and all numbers that call and leave no message. Thanks to everyone else who does the same.

Called my cell, didn't leave a message. This is the second time in four days I received a call from this number.

Got a call for the second time and they left voice msg.  Press 1 for travel agent; press 2 if not interested.  Second time it went to voice mail.  Didn't answer either time

Recorded message about Orlando vacations. Option 2 will supposedly remove your number from their list.  We recently stayed at a Wyndham timeshare property. I suspect they sold the number to these folks.
