I agree if it is important and real they can leave a message. Don't answer or call back a number you do not know.

After I sent the call to voice mail, the company left a recorded message saying something about a winning a bonus prize. I blocked the number. My phone/carrier doesn't have good blocking features, but I use an app called Smart Blocker that works well.

I have taken a new approach.  When they call, I hit the number that says I am interested.  After a minute or so of sales talk they ask for my name and address.  I tell them that they already have it, which puzzles them.  I inform them that they had to have done business with me in the last 18 months or they would be in violation of the DNC list, and I do not do business with companies that violate federal law.  The call ends with the agent using obscenities and me laughing.  By the way never give them your name, address or phone number.

Waste their time.  Make it unprofitable for them to do this.  The government and the phone companies are not going to do anything, and the calls are going to keep coming.

Answered last week and it was a recording about travel. Likely a scam. They called again today and I did not answer.

I saw that recommendation a while back and have been doing it ever since.  It works great.  And I have a lot of numbers under SPAM on my cell phone which is kind of sad really.

They called than hang up.  I'm. In a wheelchair and on meds.  I think they're trying to take advantage of disabled people.

Every time I get a call from a number, out of my area code that I don't recognize, I DON'T ANSWER IT!!!  If they need me they will leave a message.  Then I will Google the number BEFORE calling it back and 99.9% of the time it is a spam caller and there are numerous complaints about that number.  Others posted on here are right...these spam calls have literally thousands of different phone numbers...with smart phones you can hold your finger on the number and add that number to the "reject call" list....I am not sure how many times you can do this but I know I am up to at least 15 numbers now...but they have slowed down since I refuse to answer these calls.  I use to get at least 3 a day....now I think I might get one every 3 weeks.  

Verizon has had blocking options for quite some time. it is a free service.

Got a call from this number on March 3rd 2014.  It rang two times and they disconnected before I answered.  Their probably hoping I call them back.  I hope they are waiting.

I also just got a call from this number ar 2:11 pm cst. Im pregnant so I was napping and didnt hear it. Then came straight to the internet to see about the number. Glad I didnt answer it

Just received a call from this number as well. When I went to pick up my cell phone, they hung up. Just DO NOT call them back. If it is important, they will leave a message.

Got a call from this number, My land line and cell phone numbers are on the DO NOT CALL List, Apparently these idiots can by-pass the system !

got this one while I was a work.  My habbit is if I don't know the number and caller id does not recognize it, I just don't answer or even call back till I google the number.  the clowns can just leave a voice mail.  

Got a call from this number saying, "Do you want to win a magical vacation in Florida."  At that point I hung up

I received a phone call from 404-934-3451 they were offering a vacation. I hung up.

My iPhone just rang 3 times and hung up before voicemail had a chance to be activated. I didn't answer but instead I yahoo-searched the number.
FYI: I'm a Sprint customer.

Just got a call from them too. Thought it was from a friend so called back and got a strange disconnected busy signal.

I received a call at 12:47 AM (yes AM) from 407 934 3451 number. I did not answer but I accidently dialed back when trying to copy the number using the electronic cut and paste function.  The call lasted 0 seconds according to my phone log. Now after reading the prior posts I fear I have confirmed my contact info. Anu suggestions on what I should do now?  I also have Verizon.

Actually they do, they're well aware of the activity and some incourage it. They know how to stop it. but they make money off the robo dialers, even if they violate the no call. Though it is true most calls don't even come from the state they show you.
