I got the same thing on my cell. A call from a restricted number and then two minutes later from (408) 228-0163. I put my number on a website for a trade-in value on my car.

I received a call but I did not answer so I called back and it kept ringing so I went to my computer to see where the area code was coming from and saw the number how weird and all these postings, should I be concerned???

408-228-0163 this number called my daughter as restricted and then wouldnt say anything and hung up.  Then called again!  Please help!

Same thing here about 10 minutes ago. After I sent an email to a dealership for a price quote I received the first call that said private caller, a few seconds later I received a call from 408-228-5217 and no one answered. I tried to call back but the line says that all circuts were busy. Now as I write this I GET 2 emails from the dealership.

Spotted two missed phone calls on my call phone.  First was from restricted number and 2nd call was 408-228-0163.  A few hours earlier, I had been on-line and provided some brief info. including my cell phone no. to cars below invoice.

Same here...Just got the Private first, followed by this 408 number

was online looking 4 cars   a restricted call came to my home line then 408-228-0163   came to my cell

I never signed up for any of these sites.  I got the same two calls at 5 AM.  I will file a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/ and I advise you all to do the same.  I get calls from Timeshare and Mortgage companies as well - all claiming I "signed up" to have them contact me.  This is becoming a huge problem on the internet with these fake lead generation companies, the government needs to step in and do something.  I would love to see these people rot in prison.

Same thing happened to me this morning. Blocked number then 408 228 0163, on my cell.

I was shopping for a car on line and got the same two phone calls everyone on this site is talking about.  A blocked call and then a call from 408-228-0163.  Stop this jack ass.

The exact same thing just happened to me; very annoying.

Makes sense since I requested a quote on a new car. Doesn't bother me, but nice to know who it is.

I did not give out my number or go to any used car website and I got the call last night (or this morning) at 1:10am - private number first then at 1:13am from 408-228-0163....the husband got upset and wanted to answer the second call....which he did, but the call was disconnected almost as soon as he answered.  Does anyone know what is going on, or who this is?
