I recieved the same phone call from this number.  First, the number was private,then the second time the number showed up on my I.D. and noone said anything when I answered.

I received a call after searching for used cars on the internet. The first call came in at 12:38am and was listed as restricted. The second call came in at 12:40am and was 408-228-0163. When trying to return the call it said all circuits were busy. I'm glad I used my cell number for reference on the search, I'd hate to have my home phone ringing at this hour of the morning.

I was in NJ. Aug.31,2007. I recieved the same phone call from this number.  The same.... First, the number was private,then the second time the number showed up and nobody said anything when I answered. Recently I am looking for a new car, but don't remember left my phone number online though.

I signed up for information on vw beetles. Same problem that everyone else listed. Calls from restricted number then the 408-228-0163.

It's obvious to me that it was from a car dealer.  I live on the east coast, why would I be interested in someone selling me a brand new car that is located in the midwest.

I registered to see a quote on a new car with a trade in and I received a phone call,  first was restricted then caller ID..408-228-0163.

Same thing...in exact manner....why dun they speak though???

Same thing, first at 11:58pm a restricted phone call came in, didn't answer and two minutes later exactly midnight got the (408)# calling, didn't answer but it was creepy.

I filled out a form online than restricted number called than this 408 number called; i was going to buy a car but anymore, anybody plays a game like this is not getting my business

Same thing here- First call from ID restricted then a second with this number. No one answered when I said hello. alls came just after registering with New Car Insider.

Call came in at 11:22 PM our time, after we were asleep. There was a recorded message that said something about waiting for the calling party.

The first call to me came as a "Blocked ID" on my cell phone, but I didn't answer.   A few minutes later the number showed up and it was coming from California.  The thing is, I'm on the "Do Not Call" list.  I have NO idea what service I may have used.

I was shopping for trucks on the 'net about 1 a.m.; I recieved a call from this number at 4:01 a.m.  About 2 minutes prior to the "408" call, I recieved a call from a "private number" (my cell).  Of course I was initially concerned that it was a relative trying to reach me, the phone was downstairs and I didn't catch it by the 4th ring, but no message was left, so I figured it was SPAM.  Thanks for reinforcing my conclusion.

Citibank Auto Buying site uses this number. One restricted, second with number.

This is some creepy stuff. I just had this happen to me. I am a very private person and I could not imagine who would be calling me at this unGodly hour. This website saved me time and a whole lot of wasted breath(through cursing them out).  This has happened to too many people. We should get together and do something.

Same thing restricted then the 408 228 0163. I feel like a stupid American, I should just go to the dealership and buy rather than work with crapheads!
