I just met Ms. Laura Wilson through Facebook Marketplace looking for a car. Seemed to good to be true, numbers didn't match up so I started researching her name and for the last 4 hours I have read through literally hundreds of people she has attempted to scam or has successfully scammed

I googled Sylvia because I did not trust the situation I was reading via email and I found this thread smh... STAY AWAY FROM SYLVIA!!! I had a feeling it was off because it was tmi right off the bat on her personal life without even knowing me! I don’t trust anyone who gives personal info so early and so freely...
Here is the email I got from her below a few days ago after inquiring about the vehicle’s ad... Trust your gut! If it’s too good to be true, IT IS!

My name is Sylvia , I'm emailing you about 2008 Infiniti QX56 with an gas engine, automatic transmission and only 68k miles. Never had or need any paint/body work done, garaged keep always, without any mechanical problems, tires and wheels are in great shape as well, electric is working perfectly. The engine on gas, runs very good and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. Has a clean and clear title in my name and there are no liens or loans on it. This car has been used by my husband who died 4 month ago. The price was reduced to $1,400 because I'm in a hurry to find a buyer. I need to sell it before the end of the month, when I will be leaving on military duty with my medical team out of the country for a year and do not want to store it. Hate to sell it but its not worth keeping insurance and paying storage fees for a year.Also, my daughter have another car so there's no use on keeping it. If you are interested reply to email.

So, I have been searching on Craigslist for a car because literally all  the car lots are scams in my town. Pretty Ironic. Anyways, I saw this 2005 VW Beetle and contacted them. They took about 3 to 4 days to contact me. When I called, it went to a voicemail that said "The TEXTnow subscriber you have reached is unavailable" or some bs. I texted and they claimed to not be able to text because it was their  "work phone" and asked me if she could email me. I gave it to her. She sent me the same story that her husband had died due to heart attack. She couldn't have the car with her because it was too hard or something. Said it was in perfect condition basically. Said she was going to move to Billings, Montana. Offered the car for 1200 and even sent pictures. I stopped replying after she sent that and started looking online. Which is how I find this website. Glad I did my research.

Scam

They tried to scam me with the 408 number and the middle Eastern man I tried to sell me a 2006 trailer for $1,200 and told me to buy six eBay cards.. past scammede

Same fishy sounding email about husband being dead, need to sell fast, bad memories, yada, yada, yada.... For giggles I asked for a copy of the pink slip of the vehicle, with private information blanked out and guess what no response to that request or for additional pictures of interior. I wish there were gag gift cards that let out a smell when you opened the envelope.

Had golf cart for sale. Said it was in eBay warehouse. Unfortunately didn't know it was scam so I sent a total of  $2400 in eBay cards. Hate I fell for this.

Today someone posting on Marketplace via FB .for her sister through email was selling a Buick enclave said it belonged to her dead son. "Lisa Smith" Said she was selling it through eBay etc. I googled ebay warehouse and found out it was a Scam😠 people are evil.!!

Still at it @ polaris four wheelers and tralor 1400.00. Ive been looking on market place so I assume they are searching for people who are searching. Then they prey on them with a great deal with sad story to follow. prey on the wants then prey on the emotions
