I am called daily by The telemarketing arm of Direct TV.  I have called DTV and suggested that if they do not stop calling, I will terminate my service.  So far, even that is not working.

keeps calling every single day. not answering calls but leaving no messages.

I think they are legit.  They gave me HBO and Cinemax.

I also receive repeated calls on this phone number each week night around 8pm. The caller ID registers "Maryland" and they do not leave messages on my answering machine. My home number is registered on the National Do Not Call List, and I have filed a complaint with them. Do the same if your number is already on the Do Not Call List here: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx   Your number needs to have been on the list for at least 31 days in order to file a complaint.

We get a call a day from this number and when I pick it up they say nothing and then hang up... Very annoying.

Called daily for a week at various times (as late as 9:00pm) and hung up when I answered.  Caller ID says "DIRECTV"

I called Direct TV at:  1-888-777-2454—number on the website for ordering (the "contact us" number doesn't work), spoke to someone named Carlos about the hang up calls.  He said he would stop them and put me on hold. Said they would stop it.  I told him others were complaining about the calls and he said he’d tell his supervisor but that he was certain they'd stop--which tells me they really are from Direct TV.

We have a phone number that someone who owned them money used to have.  We have registered this phone number with http://www.DoNotCall.gov

I called them a month ago, and explained how I'm not the person they are looking for.  They agreed, and said that that based upon how I spoke "with my American accent" on the phone, I could not be the "Ethnic" (their bigoted words, not mine) name they had on their records, YET, THESE [***] KEEP CALLING!!!!!!!

I may just have to keep calling them from work and pay phones to harass them back a bit...

With the ever-growing issuance of formerly used phone numbers, Government needs to come up with some bit of legislation that prevents people from getting harassed from Collection Agencies on phone numbers once used by non-paying customers.

I have been receiving these calls for a while as well. I am a DirecTV customer and I am on the DoNotCall list but since I am a customer they have the right to contact me on the phone as I have an "existing relationship" with them per the rules of the DNC.gov . So I went to the DirecTV web site, logged in and sent them an email to remove me from their call list. If that doesn't work I will call them directly (not that call center number) and again ask to be removed. If that fails, will submit a complaint to the gov.

At one point, I was CONSIDERING getting DirecTV.  After these calls, I WILL BE STAYING WITH CABLE!!!!!!!

This is Direct TV...invasive calls that wake me constantly.
I have asked repeatedly to be REMOVED from their calling list.

I am a customer of Direct TV and would THINK they'd have the common sense to
stop the calls as per my MANY requests.

I would never recommend any person to be a Direct TV customer. They have zero respect for their existing customers.

I received a call from this number several weeks ago.  It was Directv wanting to talk about a "special offer".  I explained that we only have seasonal service (our summer home) and that we would not be interested.  I have received 5 more calls from this number and I refuse to answer.

called today, came up as 'Maryland'. lady wanted to know why i recently disconnected my 'premier package'. had to tell her it was because my complimentary employee subscription ran out. i was laid off after fifteen years with directv. awkward.

Recv'd. call from this number, did not answer it.

Have been getting calls from this number EVERY nite @ 8:45pm for the past 2 wks. I see that its from Maryland. Getting annoying. Called the number and recording says its Directv. I already have directv.??

Received the call today and it was from Direct TV. I'm a subscriber but recently discontinued the Premier Package and returned to Choice XTRA. The caller wanted to know why I dropped the Premier Package and made an offer of $9.95 monthly to receive Starz and Encore. I declined the offer and was asked, " what do I normally watch". I politely responded, "that's none of your business". The call ended and the caller wished me a pleasant day.

I too have been receiving calls from this number (410-774-8549).  I called the number back and it seems that Direct Tv is just trying to offer you more packages.  It never goes to a representative. Instead they ask you to leave your name, number, and good time to call you back.

They keep calling, but no messages.  Annoying!

this number called me today , please is SAturday ... Leave me along , whatever it is you are selling , stop with my number ,,,,, I called back no answer a machine askme to leave a message ,,,,,, no way.
