I keep getting calls from this number; when I pick no one says anything and whoever it is calls all hours of the day and night.

I would get calls from this number everyday also; but it was a recording announcing that I had qualified for a special promotion. The recording would hang up so I didn't have a opportunity to respond. I certainly was not going to contact DIRECTV with a toll call; so I too called the 1888 number.

I in-fact had qualified for a special promo, and DIRECTV wanted me to call; them, so they got what they wanted. It is DIRECTV and the idea is to get us to call DIRECTV. The young lady made an annotation in my account that I will not receive those type of calls anymore. I recommended that if they had information for us, that they use the TVmail...they use it for everything else.

Just recieved a call from this number and heard kids or yourng adults laughing and talking in the background. Not professional.

they call me everyday, its ridiculous...I am being harrassed, and will contact my attorney to press charges.  They claim they are Direct T..V....but they hang up on me....If I want any thing from Direct T.V, I will call them...I am listed on the do not call list, and will report them for harressment..I paid my bill what more do they want from me...my blood....If I would have know that Direct TV would harrassed me soooo much, I would have never done business with them...

I am sick of these calls.

i went to the link that charles posted and complained.  I got this response this morning!  we'll see if the lying [***] will do it.

Two weeks "to process" in a day of computers and global networks is absurd. Fortunately, I nabbed a Google phone number and that's the one Direct has. I blocked the number with a "disconnect" notice and told Direct I'd done it.

I don't know who they hired to do their marketing but I explained to the rep in email that bugging the daylights out of customers is no way to endear themselves and I'm far, far less likely to buy anything beyond the base package since they hassled me day after day after day.

calls at least, at the very least, once a week. No messages.

2 to 3 times daily, never a message.  I am so pissed off that I changed from Dish to Direct TV.  They are just as big [***]!  Wish I knew a hit man to end this nightmare!

They do the exact same thing to me. I'm glad i'm not the only one.

Answered the phone and said hello no one whould say anything..

Canceled NFL Sunday Ticket after three transfers and about an hour of saying NO over and over...
Now I'm on a call list trying to sell it to me again even after setting a service suspension date while I'm out of the country.  

I'm going to just cancel DirecTV, this is stupid.

I answered the phone and kept it on, waiting for someone.  About a minute passed and no one said anything.  Just called to annoy and interrupt my nap.

May well be a competitor of Direct TV trying to anger customers.

Receive this call at least 2 or 3 times per week.  It's been going on for at least 6 months.  I do not answer.

Nothing but dead air; happening several times a week.
