STOP these harassing phone calls to my cell phone. I do not want them. When I answer they hang up on me and if I call back I either get a busy signal or a recording asking for my name and number. I want this to stop!

Now that you've practiced your no-call request here, deliver it to the actual caller, which does not maintain this site or this web page.

Caller identified herself as "calling on behalf of Directv".  Offered resubscription to a recently-canceled sports package at what was supposed to be a discounted rate-- but it was the same rate I'd just canceled.

It's a little fishy-- I only signed up for the package in the first place to get one single football game; Directv then failed to process the order and I didn't get the game I needed.  I told them I had no other use for the subscription.  That doesn't mean they didn't authorize this, but it's rather annoying!

Thanks for the info about DirecTV.  I just canceled my 'free' introductory premium package that was part of the deal when I changed to DirecTV but I don't answer any call that doesn't identify itself.  These calls are from companies that do 'cold calls' and don't really have anything to do with DirecTV or the other companies they represent.  They are just telemarketers.  I think the only way we will get rid of these annoying calls is to require that the name of the business shows on the caller i.d., not just some vague 'out of area', 800 service or, in this case, Maryland.  I may have answered if it said it was from DirecTV because I do business with them but I won't ever answer if the callers won't identify themselves.

Got a no response phone call on my cell phone this morning from ATX Telecommunications Services Landline in Crofton, MD 410-774-8549. So I hit options on my cell phone and put LOCK on it, so they can't call me again :) I did a telephone reverse look up to find out who they were prior to the lock out.
