Rest assured they are not calling about your son's debt, but are lowlife scumbags who are trying to get your personal information. Do not give it to them no matter what they say. Tell them you want it mailed to you and they will probably hang up. These vermin are gambling on the goodness of others, and hope someone will give it to them.  If you want to give something, give the address of your local DA, police department, or closest FBI office.

    Stop calling me!
I have had 2 calls in 30 min.  With all of the technology out there, there must be a way to catch these annoying jerks.

I am not a senior citizen,  nor a homeowner.  My landlord is. Yet I get calls from 424-250-0740 at least 5 times a week. I assume that the National DoNot Call list means anything anymore. Maybe it's time to disconnect my land line.

I have a Panasonic system with 4 handsets that blocks 250 numbers.  I set all handsets on silent mode, and a call with a message left by a relative, friend, or legitimate business plays immediately on each handset and can be answered if I am available.  Most telemarketers do not leave a message, and the ones who do can be immediately blocked.  I delete all listed CID calls when convenient.  Annoying telemarketer calls are much easier to tolerate when they aren’t heard in the first place.

Just got one of these, also.

Thieves do not honor Do Not Call lists, but may use them as directories...

It is very doubtful the DNC violators are using the DNC list to obtain numbers. In order to do that they would first have to register their company as one required to use the list and then pay an fee to obtain the relevant portions for their campaign.  It is much cheaper and easier to simply program an automatic dialer with the area code and exchange they want to target and hit start. It will dial all numbers in sequence. No need to obtain any list.

Looks like a robocall--I don't answer these--just block them. I also have a Panasonic phone that blocks 250 numbers, but am thinking seriously of leaving my landline behind.

See my above post. No need to abandon your land line.  Also consider buying a device that blocks area codes to cut down on calls from the same spammers who use numerous different numbers but always with the same area code.
