google voice - anon call screening really works - poor scumbags.... :)

Received constant harrassing calls (for over a year) from people with East Indian accents concerning 'computer problems'. Telemarketers charging in the area of $400 for services. They use various phone numbers to throw you off. In 4 days we have gotten 18 calls from this number abd the following:971-217-9508;  971-217-9514;  206-397-1127;  973-482-3624;  403-388-8200; edward.jahn55. Ignoring them or telling them not to call so far has not stopped them.

I have received these calls from different numbers but I knew the scam. I loved it as soon as they hit me with their punch line I told them they are a scam and that they have already been reported to the RCMP. Like seriously .... now this number is being posted to my friends on FB....passing it on

Just got a call from this number and the idiot tried to do the same thing to me ... but I had already heard about this scam so I hung up. He called me right back and said "Hey! Did u just hang up on me?" I said yes! He said "Why did u do that madame"? I said "Cuz you're full of [***]!" He then said "FU## off!" and then hung up. [***]!!

I got a call from these scammers a couple weeks ago, caller id said Out of Area.  Well I never ever pick up any calls from numbers I don't know or out of area, but I was expecting a call from a doctor that uses the "out of service" caller id for privacy I guess.  Anyway I picked it up and a woman with an Indian accent said she was calling from "Windows Maintenance" and I said, uh huh sure, and I hung up.  I don't have time for that crap.

This time, the caller id said "Not In Service."  If the number is not in service, why is it calling me?  Gimme a break, these people are ridiculous.  Nevertheless, I didn't pick up and they hung up, leaving a dial tone on my answering machine....

just got a call from them, showed up on caller i.d. as "not in service". i NEVER answer my phone if i don't recognise the #. i am so tired of hangups!

Just got a call from this number, almost unintelligible due to the heavy accent. Something about microsoft and viruses. Said thanks, but no thanks. Hung up.

Man, with a heavy Indian accent, mumbled something about Windows. When asked if he could repeat himself, he replied "no" and then hung up. Caller ID read "Not in Service" as person calling, as well as the  suspect number as the line placing the call. At least I believe he was honest. I don't believe he could've repeated that mumbled gibberish twice. The only intelligible words that I could understand were "Windows" and "No." It strikes me as some what funny that in all of the years that I have asked someone to repeat themselves, this is the first time that I can remember someone saying "no."

They just called here.  We didn't answer so they hung up when the answering machine kicked in.   It's 11:10pm,!!

Contact your state Attorney General, the FCC and get a good firewall and anti-virus program

That just confirms to them that it is a good number, nothing more.  You will still get calls from them.

We got this call about 3 p.m. PST, Kelowna B.C.. A guy with an Indian accent told me I was having computer problems and needed to go on my machine right now and he would walk me through the steps to fix it. I had heard about this scam and told him so then hung up.

Total ignorant scammers !!! I pretended to be computer stupid with someone who called himself Jim Lee...imagine that name with a heavy India accent, at least call yourself Hamid or Pandita...WTF !!
The guy was getting so damn ignorant and bossy...I thought about all the innocent people who probably got scammed by this [***]...while I was on line, I googled his caller ID number and read all the complaints, and told him to go *uck himself and that the FBI were on there way to pay them a visit...BEWARE CITIZENS !!

I did Not answer the Call But it awoke me in the middle of the night.

Didn't pick up after call display.

They just called here. A guy named himself as Michael Watson with a thick Indian accent. He said he was from Microsoft and I called [***]. I told him that Microsoft would never call me.I told him that I didn't believe him and that if I was gonna speak to anybody it would be from an American. He of course said he was an American again I called [***]. I told him to have me speak to someone who speaks English and messed with him a little more telling him his "scam" is all over the internet before I got bored and hung up.

They called here in Orlando today. Did not answer.
Caller ID was "NOT IN SERVICE"

Which leads me to wonder - If they are "NOT IN SERVICE", how can they call?  lol

Indian or [***] scammer wanted to fix my windows. Strange, as I have a MAC (wouldn't touch windows' coprolite with a 40' septic tank dip stick). Got name wrong too but this could well have been a fabricated "error" to cover up the scam. Hung up. Seeing all the similar calls, why can't phone company just cut these crooks off?

Just answered it... From Abdul - heavy indian accent... I just said I owned all Mac computers (just to make them shut up) - he was very confused (quite entertaining). I told them not to call again and he apologized.
