- GateKeeperLegit call from Microsoft but they are effing morons!!! the Tech they are calling from scheduled an actual time for them to call him and they apparently cant adhere to that. they called him last night on his cell phone at 10pm, and then proceeded to call the office today 3 times (before the time he scheduled with them) i don't understand why they cant just call when the call was scheduled for. They talk very fast, and get aggravated when you tell them to repeat something or to slow down. Very heavy accents, hard to understand.

Be Safe, Not Sorry
Rather than believe the posts in this thread, or the words of an anonymous caller, if you get a call from "Microsoft", "Dell" or some computer fix-it place or anti-virus company, be aware the call may NOT be from the real Microsoft, Dell, or whatever!
The bad guys can spoof what you see on your CallerID!
(Google "spoof caller ID" to see the many ways it can be done)
Even though the number in this thread might belong to the real organization, the scammers can easily fake what appears on your CallerID, and attempt to get your precious ID, credit/debit card and computer data!
The bad guys also create websites that make plenty of promises, but exist merely to scam YOU!
Be Safe, Not Sorry!
Call the phone number shown on your computer documentation or invoice, or bring your sick computer to a local, legitimate repair place! - joeBLOCK! BLOCK! BLOCK! This number, registered to Microsoft, calls at all hours of the day. I never contacted MS support nor do I have a trouble ticket open with them. NO! Microsoft does not call you "out of the blue" the help you fix a problem. THIS IS A SCAM AND ANNOYING AT 3:37AM!
- Caller: NOT-MICROSOFT
- KatieI answered and the call immediately disconnected. I do have a pending refund request with Microsoft so this may be legit but I'm not sure since they decided to hang up on me as soon as I answered the phone.
