If you want to start spouting about congress ... Blame the democrats, NOT the republicans!  Republicans didn't gain majority control until after the 2010 elections. Dems took control in 2006 ... And yet everyone blames president Bush? People need to realize that the majority of telemarketers use call bots that dial every possible number, whether it belongs to a home or cell phone. Doesn't matter if your number is unpublished/unlisted/on the DNC list. Just don't answer it ... or if you do, and no voice responds within a second or two, hang up. Simple

These people keep calling me and I refuse to answer it as I do not know where it is from.  I am on the do not call list.

I too receive calls like this all of the time but blocking them does not work because they only use a number for 1 week and then they change numbers. They also can make a call look like it is from out of state and really the call is coming from someone that is probable only 28 miles away from you. Please do not answer your phone when a call like this comes in, as soon as you do they know they have a live number and charges to your phone can start to occur. Just let your phone ring, no voice mail and no answer means dead call.

Folks if you don't know the number or its an area code you don't know    DON'T TAKE THE CALL!!!!!!!!.

I have received calls from both this number and the 503 number noted in the posts.

they call my cell & house phone at the same time.
i called back and rec'd an automated message stating it's a marketing deal but if you wish to be removed to press 1.  I did this and it said it make take up to 24 hrs.
I am going to do this with my cell also.

This person keeps calling and does not leave a message. I'm at work and don't have time to be dealing with random telemarketers.

Yet another number for Direct Access USF. They're trying to shill home security systems or so they say. Two other people at least have already confirmed that in this thread.

Every month or so they change numbers after they spam the hell out of you with one. They've been spamming us since April and this will be the fourth or fifth new number we've seen from them.

They still get the same results: A line that never picks up.

They have to be amongst the most persistent, stubborn, and aggressive spammers/telemarketers out there.

I'm already up to attempt number two in the last hour and a half. The phones are turned off for the night but the caller ID still shows it.

For laughs I took my cellphone out, hit *67 to block the number, and called this thing back. After 5 rings a bot answers and says that I need to call in with all call block abilities disabled to use the opt out feature.

I have no idea if that's even legit. By the DNC law, if  YOU initiate contact, you're sunk. Any attempt to call that number would show my number on the caller ID and sink me forever. I'm betting that opt out system doesn't really work at all. I'm not willing to take that gamble. They'll just call again from a different number in a month or so anyways. It's just never going to end. Like a plague or pestilence. I report every incident that happens and it obviously does no good.

These people need to have an accident or find something better to do. Get some honest. Leave people the hell alone. This just isn't necessary. If you're really selling a nice product then sell it the right way.

was going to look for phones that blocked since at&t only blocks 10 calls now you answered my qs. where do they sell this phone? best buy, wally world, targ`et, amazon? I'm getting one right away. my land line calls are ridiculous. they are so bad I am linking of disconnecting and just going w/a cell phone like the kids do and the phone company doenst seem to care. just cause of my computer. dislike giving comcast anymore $$. maybe this phone will help, thanks again. :).

I also received calses from 503-902-8279.  I have blocked both.  I believe they just change the number.  Other calls I have received are from 503-902-8127, 503-829-5488, 503-468-5214.  I believe they are somehow linked because once I've blocked one number, they call from another one.

I got a call from 425-658-8839. My caller ID says :"Direct Access".  So after they hung up--I then dialed them back (first I dialed *67 to block my number on their caller ID). I then muted my phone to see who answered--nobody answered...instead ...  I got a recording stating to select #1 to be put on their no call list. It also said I had received a phone call from a telemarketer.
So--call back and get put on their Do Not Call List....I guess....(I don't trust those either...)

I am getting calls from the 503-902-8279 and 425-658-8839 - they want to give me a "free" security system. I have told them to stop calling, I am not intersted, I don't have a house, I already have a plan  - nothing gets them to stop talking or stop calling. i am registered and reported the numbers with teh DNC.

This caller hangs up as soon as I answer and never leaves a message when I don't answer.

multiple calls from 425-658-8839...no message left...I am on the national do not call list....apparently this does not help!

they called me, I picked up, no one on the other end, I *67 them back, got a  message that said they don't pick up calls that are block...image that

5 calls over the period of 9 hours starting at 10:55am MST. Called again 1:04pm MST, 3:01pm MST, 5:52pm MST, and 6:49pm MST. No message left at any time. Called them back and a recorded message answered on the 4th ring stating, "Thanks for calling back. This is a marketing company attempting to get a response. If you would like to stop receiving calls from this organization, please press 1 at any time to be added to this organization's do not call list."

I have an app on my Android phone called Call Blocker, made by NQ. It is a "free" software that occasionally nags you to upgrade. I have added this number to my blacklist so it won't ring through and bother me.
