I called 425-658-8839 back and after about 8 rings I got a recording telling me it was a US representative campaign caller and to press 1 to have the calls stopped.

Its seems the politicians don't have to follow their own laws against unsolicited calls.

I am so fedup with AT&T that I fired them from my home phone, internet, and cell phone.  So, I got a new cell number just 2 days ago and already I am receiving marketing messages from this 425 number.  Can you believe this?  Who could have given out my new number already?  Do you think my new cell phone carrier?
I need to start a campaign against AT&T for their terrible customer service.

We keep getting calls from this number.  They never leave a message.  When you call the number, it finally goes to their voice mail & you are advised to press "1" to be put on their Do Not Call List & advised to wait 24 hrs for this to take effect.    We've done this numerous times, and are still receiving their calls multiple times each day.

I did as DT suggested. Called 425-658-8839 back. It says that it could be one of many marketing companies calling. If you wish to be removed from their call list, press 1.

3 calls in the span of 4 hours on three different days.  No idea who the company is but not picking up. I don't see how this is legal to call this much. I am also getting calls from 206-496-0985 and 360-529-6902. They all come from WA state.

Received a call, which I did not pick up today.  This company is using other outgoing numbers to call us and I have spoken to Matt, who said he would remove my number before, but apparently has not.

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone and I didn't answer.  No message was left.

"Matt" from Home Protection keeps calling. Home, office, and cell. I am on the do not call list for all numbers.

I'm guessing this is a "newer" in a long line of numbers that cycle through, calling people randomly. We're all on the Do Not Call List, but that doesn't matter to these flaccid jerks because they're technically in another country, routing their calls via a US telemarketer that is basically not asking what they are doing, so long as they pay to use their telecom availability. So first, they use an auto-dialing system, hence why they magically seem to snag your cell regardless of how many times you've changed numbers. Sometimes there is a person, others not. Either way, it's being dialed by an auto-dialer program to see if the line is life (i.e. the phone number is active). I've personally been called & reported dozens of numbers like this. Essentially, it's the same people phone phishing for personal info. The Do Not Call List is powerless and flimsy legislatively. Might as well call the website, "Spammer Statistics Records Page" where we record every unwanted call for US stats. The local government offices of the city's where the area codes orient from are equally helpless. The FCC just says, "report it to the DNCL." We have, a hundred times. And by the time one number eventually does get snagged, these tools are using a new one. Where the government needs to start hitting is our cell phone providers. I suggested to mine they start pages similar to the Do Not Call Lists, where we report the numbers we're getting, and after they verify enough of their customers are being harassed by a specific number, it be disabled from being received by any of their customers phones. So push that suggestion to your cell provider. Think about it. There are some of us who've had our phones for a while, enough to where if we had them for ~10 years, paying $100 a month, we've given them an average of $12,000, hello, that's equivalent to buying a Neon or a Kia. I would think our phone providers would want to help us, instead of ignore our pleas for assistance. The Do Not Call List isn't cutting it. So take my suggestion and forward it to your cell provider - some charge for blocking, but they should provide an additional service (an actual cost free service) to help limit this level of unwarranted harassment by having a page where we can report a number to be "investigated."

Received call from 425-638-8839 today at 1:53 PM, 317 PM, 438PM.   Caller ID shows USS.   Last 2 messages had message sahing:  Hi, this is Matt from Home Security 1.  They should not be calling as my number is registered on the DNC.

4 calls today-
on the 4th - called back to be put on the do not call list - AGAIN.
How many times do I need to do this??  It just generates other calls from other "commercial entity" spams

Been getting odd calls lately and this is the most recent - I answered and they promptly hung up.  After reading the posts I will simply not answer nor try to call it back.

Well I am sure whatever your sin is-and all have those--ALL-will probably be forgiven-oh yeah-you sit and judge on your perch. Hey-if you are not a bliever that is your right. If you are one of the sanctimonious then go the route of the Pharisees. You all make such a huge deal-actually out of nothing. You say no message is left-nothing-and if you are so important you just have to answer your phone-get off your pride and vanity kick-what they are doing IS wrong. So? I get calls are the time-my blood pressure actually goes DOWN when they call-ha ha ha they go away in however many rings you want them to go away in. If we were so damn wrapped up in our lives endangering other pedestrians, drivers etc by answer phone in car, etc then there would be NO issue. And at home? Please-good thin you don't have a kid asking why why why why this why that-you would probably abuse them. Oh sorry-I judged you-dad will get around to that.

moron boy-YOU DO NOT PAY FOR THOSE MINUTES-oh that's right -you are smarter than I am and ignored me. Screw you if you aren;'t smart enough to ignore them. EVERY cell shows the call info-you claim you know the number-so you don't answer-or quiet the call-and ZERO cost-forever-no minutes-not even on your cheap assed plan. Seriously-you all want the government to do everything for you-you could never survive in earlier times-no way in hell. So grow up-stop getting upset-and BAM-they will quit. Some of the calls actually test lists to see if numbers are good or not-and yep-you answer-it is recorded as a good number and you get more calls-DON't ANSWER-every consumer group tells you that-oh yeah-you just like to get upset

I won't go into politics on this type of forum-but you are one of the only ones that seems to understand and you are absolutely RIGHT! Some (and  yep folks-it is illegal-but if you are offshore-well-hmmmkind of hard to track them down-most of the numbers are spoofed-you can all do the same thing) robocall by starting with an area code-and first known exchange and dial every possible combination. I tried to comment on that to someone complaining they lost their minutes. DON'T ANSWER-man-what is so important to talk to an anonymous number or one you already know is bad. DON"T ANSWER-if it is a phone line test call-it will mark you as a no answer so many times and give up-if not-the company now knows their s a live owner-without ever having to buy a list-NOTHING-just by calling all possibilities-and it is cheap to do this type of calling. Read up on it and ignore them.

Hey I got a bunch of calls from this number the past two days as well. I called back and a recording comes on and says its a marketing entity or something and it gives you the option to press 1 to not recieve calls from them anymore. I just did it we'll see if they actually stop calling but its worth a shot.

I was in a mall about a year or two ago, and there was a rider mower in one area of the mall.  They let you fill out slips with your address and phone number for a chance to win a John Deer riding mower.  That's how this started for me.  First they knocked on my door offering a "free" security system.  Then they called.  Today they called twice.  Caller ID said "USS".

Why would somebody keep bothering you after you have already told them that you are not interested in your product?   Well, I guess there is that small, teeny-tiny chance that you will eventually change your mind.  Of course, and intelligent salesman would move on to fresh prospects and not waste his time.  So....

The sad thing is that it isn't the same salesman.  It's a new salesman - most likely only paid on commission - who doesn't realize that he is kicking these dead horses and working with an ancient call list that has already been picked through multiple times.  It doesn't cost the company anything to waste the salesman's and everybody else's time for that teeny-tiny chance that one of these old prospects will now change his mind and buy the product.  

If you feel like taking the time, let this poor salesman know how the company is using him and all of the people it is having him call.   Let him know WHY he needs to find a real money-making job.

Also got called 7/20 at 5:47 PM and 7:28 PM.   Will be reporting number to DNC, but don't expect any positive results from doing so.
