They sent me a text message stating they were a licensed private investigator from HP Locate and they need to speak with me and to please call 469-341-0107

Asked if I was available and I got text messages.....

HP asked for a name they couldn't even read.  Told them that I am not that person and to please stop calling as I'm on the do not call list, this is a cell phone and I have owned this number for over a year now.  This only started to happen after I switched from one carrier to another and cancelled a credit watch protection company.  Anyone else have the same as I know some of these companies do this so you get concerned and run back to them.  I have no debt! (blessing) and continue to be called by these guys saying they are PIs to call another number or just hang ups or leaving messages for debt collection.  It does sound like they are recording you if your smart you will say that you are not that person and that you are on the do not call as its a cell number and you are not that person nor do you want any contact from them.  Since they are recording it if they call again they just messed themselves up.  Keep saying no as this used to be an old trick to get you to change your phone service back in the days.  Do not verify anything as you didn't call them they called you and should know who they called.  They can see who is calling so they can look it up.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NAME either its one way they attach a name to a wireless phone then sell the information to other companies.

is this even legal what they are doing? calling family and friends phones?

My caller ID showed 469-341-9107. They asked my wife to have me call 1-888-331-1438. I called back and they asked about David Sr. I asked about the nature of the call and was advised they were representing a third party client who had some very important information for David Sr but of course they would not provide anything else. I said I didn't know him and told them not to call my house again. I then found this thread. We shall see what happens.

H.P.Locate called me as a private investigator. When I asked for the private investigators state Id number was told it was private. HA HA Funny. Told them that are state attorney general had warned of these phishing scams an I would be contacting them ASP. He hung up and has not called back to date.

HP Debt Exchange (www.hpdebtexchange.com) is behind the HP Locate calls.  I would encourage everyone who is getting these harassing HP Locate calls to call HP Debt Exchange at (972) 996-5100 and give them a piece of your mind.  I call them up and call them every name in the book until they hang up on me!  And I call them 10 times for every 1 time that they call me or any of my friends or relatives.

I have a common name, and this is yet another call (this says HP Locate...that urgently needs to get hold of me today)....has the right name but I don't owe any money to anyone.  Thank heavens for caller ID

Got several calls from this number by a company called HP Locate.  They were looking for an extended family member.  Wouldn't answer my basic questions regarding why they were calling or needed to get in touch with this person.  But they were very insistent that I give them information as if I would be held liable in some way if I didn't.  I didn't even acknowledge that I knew the person they were looking for.

They called my cell phone twice and left voicemails stating they are private investigators and need their call returned within 24 hrs.  Strange!!!

They are calling and even harrassing me at work.  i am not who they are looking for.  not even the same sex!  getting a laywer becuase i have asked them to stop and they wont

calls relatives saying that they PI and that i committed a felony talked to my neice who is a minor. also questions my neighbors

Just got a call from 469-341-0107 asking if I knew of a neighbor by a certain name, I told them no and was told they would remove my number. Too bad I googled after the fact. Glad I didn't give any info.

I also, got a call from this number stating that they had to talk to me because ourI phone number was coming up regarding an investigation they were doing.  Call ID said the phone # and Dallas TX

they just started calling today, and have already called 3 times, and left the same message all three times.  He says he is a tivaye investigator and to please call back, he has info for me.  yeah, right

ok, they have called 4 times, 1 time from an 800 number, and the other 3 from 469 number

These people have been calling me, calling themselves "HP Locators" and said they have high tech devices that track the supposed person they are looking for and then calling all their neighbors to go give the person a message!!  They said it just a little different way each time they called. One was that "Rene Guerrero" had a serious problem with a relative who needed to talk to him/her. And so on. They said an address that COULD have been on my street, but in fact does not exist.  As though I would even tell them anything anyway.!  I have a stalker who lives near San Antonio Texas and this has been quite upsetting to me, although now I do not believe it is her. Unless, who knows, she is in this business now and is just harassing me. The caller ID numbers were just a little different each time, also.  But they were all from Texas. If it continues, i will report her number just in case.
