they called me a couple of times and left msgs, they made it sound like i had some important info they needed for their investigation-  i looked up HP Locate and the license number they left, A17155.  i dont ploan on ever calling them back.  they have never gotten me on the phone,  i never answer my phone if i dont recognize the number though.  i do have a little outstanding debt, i dont think enough for these kind of tactics. they are almost 7 yrs old, i work in the debt resolution industry, they'll be removed on their own soon.

Just got a call from HPlocate looking for a Sonya Rodriguez. I suspect they are connected to Greentree who has also called for this person and her husband though I have told BOTH agency to never call again they still continue to call. Hey dirt bags if you are such a great private investigation business then you would no my number is in NO WAY associated with Sonya or her husband, it's not that damn hard for you to use your "investigative" expertise to look at the last name the number is listed under and the last name of the person you are calling for and think "hmmmmm.....last name registered to the number is Irish but the person's last name I am calling about is Spanish, maybe this isn't the SAME person."

For a PI company your investigation skills suck!

You don't identify yourselves or answer what company are you with when not speaking to the person your asking for. This is a reasonable question. I didn't know the person and was wondering how you tied me to them,very fair question.I guess this is the only job you all can get,hope things get better you all.

"Linita" called me from HP Locate.  They left a message saying they were working with a private investigator and their office has been contracted by a third party who is going to disclose some very important and personal information.

If I could make it a priority to touch base with her office today...  1-800-331-1427.

I'm not returning the call or am I answering any from this number.  Will they eventually stop calling or should I report it to the Attorney General's office in Texas?

This number started calling me out of nowhere a couple of weeks ago.  I do not answer calls I do not know nor do I return any call to this number.  I would like them to stop harassing me so please tell me how to remove my number or block this HP Locate to stop calling me.  I have never owned any real estate or foreclosed on any property ever.  This is becoming more and more annoying!! Thanks for any input you can share to me.

but they keep calling and calling and calling.  Usually nobody is on the other end of the line when we answer. Sometimes we get a recording to push 1 to find out what's going on.  I've done that but wait a bit then get a busy signal.  Today I again pushed 1 to find out what the hell is going on, and got another recording to leave my name and number and someone will call us back.  BULL!  If you folks don't have time to talk to me then DON"T call me.  I'm busy and have no time for this nonsense,   Also, I have no debt problems so there isn't anyone looking for me for collections.

This is not a legitimate collection. You can look it up 50 different ways online. Ive been getting calls literally every 1/2 hour every day since I started my bankruptcy. There is only one thing on my bankruptcy, and the owner of that loan knows it. So there is no reason for anyone to be contacting me.

Claudia w/Heritage - Requested confidential information about a client..... I told the caller I needed a letter from the client with a current authorization within the last 30 days giving me permission to talk to them or give out any information.... and/or verify any information given to there company in the past... She told me she had current authorization and asked me to verify clients information. But, she would have to look through 300 pages of paperwork to find it... I informed her that under IRS rules/regulations I can not disclose any information to her without a current written authorization. I also asked her if she was hearing a beeping sound... she then informed me the call was being recorded... I asked her "aren't you suppose to inform someone they are being recorded before you record the conversation".... she said it was for quaility control.... I hung up...

Calls twice a day for someone idk they wouldn't put me on the do not call list. So I called the Bobby and reported them. DONE WITH YOUR CALLS!

i am a debt collector and your service called my nephew in alabama whom i never see...my name is in the phone book Ive lived there for 13 years and worked the same job for 12 years....how hard could I be to find?...all I need is the last 4 digits of ur social and your initials and your a## is mine ...I don't owe anyone anything so I will be knocking on their door in Plano tx soon....ha...i found them...now they will have some explaining to do

I agree with your complaint completely!  I left the company because of the their unethical practices and harassing phone calls.  The actually used a "robo dailer" to get as many people that would often have the most tenuous relation to the person they are after.  This would include harassing neighbors or former employees and employers that would have lost track of the individual or people who live down the street from the target victim.  The main point here is that they would encourage such people to spy for HPLocate.   And phoning all hours of the night as well as these other abuses are against the law. I worked there.  They harass people and track down neighbors in the area of where the house was foreclose to track down the debtor in order to spy on them (e.g. when you saw them last, are they still at the residence, and there comings and goings. Basically, the PI at HPLocate wants YOU to do his work in surveilling them.  So the constantly bug neighbors, possible relatives, and so forth to  help THEM.   Complain at the website above and shut them down.

To all of you who have responded to my initial message, it's for these reasons that I left that sleezy company.  As I said before, you won't get rid of these pests unless you file a complaint:

Unless you do so, they could easily continue to hassle you because their not satisfied either with your response and they think that by continuing to hassle you with their mindless calls you will give in and provide some clues to what they want. Because the bottom line with these people is that after any tidbit of information.  It's best if you simply lie and tell them the person they are looking for move on to another state, and make up a believable story.  They are going by a national database which is not up-to-date with it's info.  So throw them sth. that will waste their time and follow a rabbit trail.

Well, I said in my most recent posts,  I left the company because I could see how unethical they were.  As as the others have posted on this site, they are extremely intrusive and untruthful.  File a complaint and be as uncooperative as possible with them

you may not be think you are harassing but you are I got 5 calls in one day and after I called them back to tell them not to call me anymore I get a phone call 15 mins later if they call me again there will be so problems

They haven't been harassing me, but I was spooked enough by their call today to Google the phone number.  (I'm extra diligent because I have an unwanted admirer who has pushed me to the point of zero tolerance.)  Anyway, I can't really file a complaint about them, but I did go to the HP Locate website and submitted a "do not call" notification.  If they have unethical practices, does that mean they'll be spamming me now that I've visited their website?  The "do not call" request didn't involve an email address.

Thanks for your valuable input on this forum.  Seems that many folks have failed to see your posts!  Take heart, though... many have and appreciate.
