- ElizabethIt is absolutely Santander, I am ten days late and they call 20 times a day, even at my place of work, after my Boss (the owner) of the location and phone lines they are calling ten times a day told them to not call here anymore, they continue. I am reporting them via certified letter to my States Attorney General, they are going to cost me my job and then how will I pay for the flippin car

- BeachamYou always know when the [***] call because there is at least a 2 second delay before they pick up the phone. I've taken to wasting as much of their time as possible because after all, time is money. You have to keep in mind that most of these losers are so socially [***] that the only job they can get is that of a bill collecter. Most of the time they don't even answer the call, they hang up as soon as I answer the call.

- CatapatricThe people are [***]. The purchased my loan from Citi, the due date has not come up yet this month, but I am getting calls because Santandar changed the due date to the 1st. I didn't sign any contract with a payment due on the 1st. So they can call from every number number they can get their hands on, they will get the payment on the regularly scheduled due date according to the contract.

- infoman replies to knowitallNowitall: Im sorry that you are so frustrated. It sounds like youre not getting the help you need. No need to be negative to posters who are trying to help you. In MOST states, even the widow is NOT responsible for the deceased husbands bills if her name is not on them. If you live in the joint property law states usually, the bills in the name of the deceased are not put as a burden upon the family. You may need to take a closer look at the laws rather than listen to the bill collectors.
- Heard it in OhioI recently heard that there is now a class action law suit against Drive/Santander (what ever name they go by)...look into it if you're having issues with this company and they are actually not following the proper protocols in contacting you.

- LauraHere's the answer to all our prayers. Telemarketers almost exclusively use "autodialers" to make their calls. One out of a thousand will have live reps doing the dialing. When these dialers connect (you answer the phone) they listen for any "tones" generated. If no "tones" are detected they then transfer the call to one of the reps in a call center. "IF" the autodialer hears the 3 beeps from dialing a "DISCONNECTED" number, the number that was just dialed is automatically "REMOVED" from their list. Below is a link that has this "tone" plus the verbal message. You DO NOT need the verbal message. Download or copy the "DISCONNECTED" MP3 or WAV file to your desktop. Create or change the greeting you have when someone calls you and you're not available. At the VERY BEGINNING of your message place the 3 tones (NOT THE VOICE MESSAGE) then continue with your usual or normal greeting. The autodialer will hear the tones and BINGO, your number will be removed since they think it's a disconnected number. DONE. In a few weeks you will be removed from all the lists. Of course you may have to explain the tones to the callers you DO want to speak to but that's a small tradeoff. Pass this info on to anyone you know that gets junk calls or even help post this on these websites. If you continue getting calls after reading this, it's your "OWN" fault! END JUNK CALLS.

- deceasedaccountcollector replies to knowitalltechnically, the administrator of the estate is not responsible for any outstanding bills, the estate, if there is one, is responsible for the bills. if there is no estate, noone is responsible for the bills. if there is insurance money, if there is no will to delegate where the money is to go, then the money goes to the beneficiary and it is up to the beneficiary to decide what to do with that money.

- lafodlI received calls from 214-614-3380, 469-385-5260, 817-881-0121, 303-302-1410, 214-614-3300 in a 2 day period. The sad part is the government isn't going to do anything about it, They are problably getting money in their pocket from this company with all these different names. And I am up to date on my payments. Getting ready to sale the vehicle and get another one through my bank this way I know they won't sell the contract like Citi did.

- ShaneHad a missed call from them. Called the number back to see if it was a customer trying to reach me. They wanted my SS# and date of birth automated machine. I knew then it was a scam. I have never done business with them. I only use my credit union. Be careful everyone. Dont give them your info.

- HeidiCalled my number twice within one minute. First call ID said "out of area", second call ID said "American Limo". I'd say that means scammer. I have no "unpaid bills" waiting on me.. so not an authentic creditor calling from that number.
