If you have an Android phone (I got this call on my cell) there is a neat call blocking app "Call Control". Just go to the Google Play Store and fetch it. Easy to configure and no more unwanted calls..

Answered, but no one there.  Damn these numbers!  And damn the "Do-Not-Call" list as the ineffective trash it is!  And damn me for being so stupid as to answer it!

I Answered this number as I do know people in Arizona.  It was a recording saying I had just won a cruise.
Right!!   I just hung up.

Congratulations you have won two complimentary cruise tickets to the Bahamas, all expenses paid. All you have to do is answer our survey to receive two tickets.
Then I hung up

It is saying you have to Register YOUR number.  I got the same message at first, but I was trying to put in the number of the bad call I got.  You have to put your cell phone or your home number in first.  Try that and you can register the complaint!

480-271-1861 left me a message, on my landline,  and was answered by recording. Said I had won a cruise to the Bahamas. These fools are a pain in the butt. Like everyone else, sick of these scammers.

This number keeps calling from a wireless number.  We do not want them calling since we do not know who it is.  We expect it is another telemarketer.

I answed the phone and the caller said I won a cruise. I wired 750 to pay the taxes. I am excited about my vacation. All because of a random call..!!

Got a phone call (12:00pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.

(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  
I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

I’m going to go on the assumption that you are not a shill working for the scammers behind this number, or a troll begging to be fed.  That being said, the point of this site, and others like it, is to allow people to pass on to others what they encountered when they received calls from numbers they did not recognize.  It also allows folks to benefit from the experiences of others.  Yes there are times when you don't find anything very useful (lots of "They did not leave a message" or "They hung up after a couple seconds" postings) and you may have to wade through a few "STOP CALLING ME!!" posts by those who haven't caught on to what this site is about.  You won't find "This phone number is ACME Inc. selling Widgets" in a large banner across the screen to answer the question "Who is this number?"  This site is simply people telling people what they encountered and (often) how they feel about it.  Still it can be very informative.  Many regular posters ("Resident47" and "lone stranger" to name a couple) are veritable founts of information, which they readily share.  And even without their input one can usually easily separate the wheat from the chaff and get some answers about the number in question.  For example, I got a call from this number and they did not leave a message.  The Caller ID showed “ARIZONA”.  From past experience I have found that calls that list their state of origin on the Caller ID are at least a telemarketer, but usually are some sort of scam.  I came here to see just what sort of scam this one is.  I immediately notice that this is a new number for the scammers, as the oldest posts are less than two weeks old.  I then start to notice the posts talking about a recorded message offering a cruise and a survey.  So I now know that this is another incarnation of the “Free” cruise to the Bahamas for answering a “survey” scam.  If you answer the (usually 3 question) survey, they will expect you to pony-up your credit card information to pay for “taxes and a small port charge” before you can take your “free” cruise.  And now I have some additional information to put in the comment box when I report this number to the Do Not Call site.

So Nick, what was the weather like in Phoenix today?  Or, doesn't your call center have any windows?

A message to all those who are frustrated with these types of a calls:

The FCC complaints may work but there are a lot of numbers to chase down and a lot of them are what we call "bot" callers. A bot caller is a computer dialing either random or sequential numbers looking for a live line. When it finds one, it records it for later calling by a real telemarketer. There is no way to stop it.

The Do Not Call list works great but it does not stop bot dialing. A computer doesn't care what number it calls. It just tries them all.

What to do: Add a contact called "Telemarketer" or what ever you like. Give it a "no ring" tone. Some phones have this and others you will have to create a 1 second "silent" ring tone. You can look up how to do that on Google. Add the annoying number to the contact you just made and you will never hear or even know that they called again.

On the first page, you have to enter your phone number. On the second page you enter the company name and the phone number they called your from.

Called my LG cell phone, which uses prepaid minutes, and left no message. Called my phone at 7:54 p.m. on a Friday night (yesterday). Call comes through as unregistered. I hate these calls, as they waste my money!

I have read that if you answer the call and hang up immediately without saying anything, sooner or later your number falls out of their database.   Their system is looking for a voice answer (either a person or answering machine).   I have used this technique and the number of calls I have received has decreased dramatically. Today is the first day I received one of these spam calls in over a month.

Called my cell. I did not answer as I don't answer calls from phone numbers I don't know. I researched the number and discovered that this is a 'spoofed' number which means it is not the actual number that the call originated from. My advice is to not answer calls that you don't recognise.

you need to buy a call blocker!  you or a friend should go to the following website and order one.  it is the BEST $60 bucks i have ever spent!  it blocks up to 1500 calls!!!!   forget about the national call list - it's a waste of time and is the result of typical government uselessness!!!
