It is GoDaddy...I have an account with them and they call every few months even if I have changed nothing on the account or purchased any new products. It's usually an attempt to upsell items and I find it irritating and annoying.

I just let it go to voicemail.

Your domain being private only means that a public whois request on the domain will not reveal your information. GoDaddy, however, still retains your customer information regardless of private or not.

Please do not call me as I know how to use Go-Daddy Sight.

Yes, it IS too from godaddy.  I just opened a new account with them yesterday.  Furthermore, I work in Tech Support for a wireless company and have the ability to verify the number.  Thanks

I got the call and I don't have anything to do with godaddy.com. I don't return calls I don't know and they didn't leave a message. So I guess we are even.

got it just now...didn't answer...2nd call from one of these jokers in the past hour.

they called and hung up. if it is GoDaddy we do have an account with them, dont know why they would call and hang up.

I signed up with GoDaddy on Saturday and the first scam call arrived this morning just as described below.  No one anserwed when I pickup the call.  When I called back, the voice response indicated that I would have to provide the last 5 or 6 digits from my credit card to ID myself to customer service!  It's a scam as GoDaddy would have lots of other information on file to select for self-identification.  This alone makes it a scam in case there was any doubt.

Ditch Godaddy, they are not about customer support but about dollars dollars dollar, they upsell upsell upsell. And Bob Parsons hunts elephants for fun, why support that?  They supported SOPA!!

This number is GoDaddy Appreciation department wondering if you are ready to go with your new purchase and are happy with it and if there is anything they can help you with.
The customer service number from GoDaddys website is 480-505-8877.

If you got a private registration with GoDaddy, it is done by a separate company called Domains By Proxy, which is located in Arizona. I didn't answer the call but I assume that's who is calling, and would explain how they got my number even though I got a private registration.

Just for the record this number haunts me everyday now for about two weeks. 480-505-8859  February 2012.

Just got a call asking "how it's going" with a product that I recently purchased from GoDaddy. I responded that it's going "fine" and sent a nasty email to them asking if they thought that it was a good idea to irritate customers.
