I received a call from this number but ignored it. Read through these threads then waited to see if I received another call. I had received emails from GoDaddy that my credit card had expired and was curious if the caller would know that information. I just got off the phone with a call from this number and it was a courtesy call to let me know that renewals for some domains were in jeopardy as they would be expiring soon. The person kindly suggested I should log into GoDaddy to update my billing information then wished me a nice day!

Like T.C., I just opted out of phone calls from GoDaddy via my account settings. The GoDaddy account reps are always very friendly and it's never a negative experience talking to them, but I just don't need the phone calls since I manage my domains very closely. But I appreciate what they are doing. Thanks anyway, employees of GoDaddy. :)

A few weeks ago, I received a call from this unknown number.  The guy sounded sketchy.  Claimed to be from GoDaddy (I am a customer) but could not tell me why he was calling me unless I gave him my pin number first. Uh, no.  I don't know you and you can't even tell me why you're calling me so I'm not giving you any info.

I knew my account with GoDaddy was up for renewal soon.  I told him I expected to get an email alerting me of the upcoming renewal date, at which time I would renew, and didn't expect to be getting phone calls, since email is my preferred method of communication with their company.

I did eventually receive an email saying the renewal date was either sometime in June or July 7th.  They didn't seem too sure.  The message was something like: "Urgent!!!!! Renew Today!  Your contract expires at midnight and you will lose your website FOREVER!!!!!" with a little footnote saying the renewal date was actually about 10 days away on 7/7. I don't like those kind of sales tactics.

I didn't save this number in my phone as GoDaddy because the strange way the caller acted the first time didn't convince me that it was legit.  So when the phone rang today, I didn't recognize the number and ignored it.

I've had my website with them since about 2007.  I'm not a problem customer and they should be contacting me through my preferred method instead of bothering me with these vague, suspicious sounding, unprofessional, annoying, and unnecessary phone calls.

I'm thinking of switching to Network Solutions or some other hosting service.

I do not mind getting calls for issues of real importance to me, but not sales calls when if they wanted to sell then the offers could have been by email or online because I tend to start feeling postal with sales calls I did not ask for.  I forgot what I did to trigger a call until I remembered checking out the cost of renewing my multi-website hosting for a few more years versus their special that new users could sign into for a number of years.  Being loyal was twice as expensive as fresh blood, and I was debating ending my hosting as I was not using but a fraction of its value, and only for handicap awareness which is starting to feel like a waste of time anyway.  So I left a two year renew in their cart without finalizing it so they must have called to make a better deal but if they wanted my business then they need to offer a deal by email or see why a customer with little traffic would not want to pay more than the bargain they are offering new users.

Folks this is GoDaddy. It's a welcome call that is all. You don't have to call them back. It's an automated recorded message (Danica Patrick) welcoming you to their service. Do you really think a scam would run the same number for 3+ years claiming to be go daddy?

I will confirm what Bfost just mentioned. I just got the same call...automated Danica Patrick. No biggie...just deleted it.

As far as I'm concerned it's a scam. The caller knew many pertinent details of my account, and wanted me to renew for 10 years over the phone using my credit card. I don't think so!

This is customer service for GoDaddy.com. They left a pre-recorded message today (after calling several times over several days and leaving no message) stating they have been trying to reach us regarding upcoming domain renewals. This is their official number; when the number is dialed, the GoDaddy.com automated voice menu comes on.

Got a vm from them on my cell phone but the vm is so broken up, it sounds like bee-ack-oop-ha-squwak-oop-ee-ack...nice vm.  Glad they were able to leave, in some alien space language, the reason why they called.  I have several clients that have godaddy as their host and I would need a translation device to let me hear what they said.  The emails don't give you a specific domain name so it would be like roulette to guess which one they were oop-eep-boppin' talking about.

    Good going godaddy!

It's Godaddy.com. They left voice mail about a domain that was due to expire. If they didn't call, I might have forgotten about re-registering it.

Godaddy get lost! replies to annoyed
I haven't had any time to work on my website, and already they are making sales calls and recorded calls to my home number.  Where did I ever sign anything that said they could call me?  Also, their supposed "help line" hangs up  on you after one ring. Do not use this service

received a call. no message left. this is a godaddy.com customer service number. having worked with 2 companies who use godaddy services, godaddy does followup customer service calls. Seems odd that the caller doesn't leave a message to that fact.

Call several times a day....I do not answer unfamiliar/blocked calls. Next time I will pick up and then lay the phone down and let them waste their time...and tie up a line....once they figure it out...then they take you off their list.
