Received a call from this number and a voice mail from GoDaddy asking me to call to do an account review (we do a lot biz with them) & talk to their business development team about any projects I have going where they can help. It's nothing more than a sales call.

The words 'GoDaddy' and 'legit' do not go in the same sentence!

It's a scammer. Although the recording claims to be GoDaddy, to verify your identity they want the last eight digits of your credit card. That's too much info to be legitimate.

Morf, are you English? Is your humor really that dry? Or are you truly a member of the double-digit-IQ Club? Perhaps your name is Tom, and you're simply a member of genus Meleagris. Whatever the cause/reason for your post, thanks for the entertainment!

The message says GoDaddy, but I believe that's a disguise for DEBT COLLECTORS.

GoDaddy has my business, so there is no need for calls!!!  All my interaction with GoDaddy is via their website and logging into my account. I don't even click on any links in confirmation e-mails from GoDaddy.

People, communicate with GoDaddy directly via their website, not suspicious incoming calls!!

I've been ignoring this number when they call. They've never left a vm.
But just the other day, DANICA PATRICK knocked on my door, hugged me, and thanked me for being a GoDaddy customer.
    True story...;-)

GoDaddy, they left a callback number and an opt-out number. I have a GoDaddy account, so it is a legit call. There are plenty of actual scams out there, this isn't one.

Are people really this stupid? Firstly its a GoDaddy number, if you don’t believe it look up an actual number you believe is theirs call them and ask them. I’ve been a customer of theirs for years. I used to have a ton of domains I randomly bought because I liked them, but after awhile with not using them I started to let them go. This is when I started getting calls from this number. It is simply GD customer support checking to see if everything is ok or anything they can do to help further, its not a freaking scam.

Also to the people crying about how they bought Private for their domain name. Firstly not sure why you would ever do this when you can just add the info yourself and not pay for it :) also it only hides it from the general public when doing a simply lookup. The people who work for GD still have access to the real info on that domain.

People should really think before they say something as sometimes it just makes them look that much more stupid..

I got a call as well, no message, but one of my domains is expiring. I'm sure they called to make sure I knew. They are really good about customer service.

People need to lighten up.  I received several calls from them this week but did not get to the phone on time.  Today, I was finally able to pick up.  It was a follow up call from Go Daddy where I have several domains registered for my business.  They called to make sure I actually registered all those different domains or if I had any questions. (some of them are registered, but have not gone live.)  I said 'no, all is well', and they said 'that is great to hear.  Let us know if you ever have any questions.'  And that was the end of the conversation.

Ok. I kept seeing that it is/isn't GoDaddy so I decided to call GoDaddy. This IS one of their numbers. I told them I was about to block it because they did not leave a voicemail. The young man apologized, said maybe my mailbox was full, (it's not) and looked at my account to see why they called.

    I hope this helps.

Instead of everybody chiming in if the phone number is from Go Daddy or a scam - why not call Go Daddy and ask them? Their correct phone number is 480-505-8877. How do I know this? This is the phone number listed on their website. And I have called it several times for tech support.
