It was Macy's credit just confirming an online order. I don't ever mind getting that call!

I am so glad they called me.  They called to verify a large purchase that I did not make and I was able to reverse it.

Called to confirm online order place with Bloomingdale's. I had placed the order so called the number back. Courteous person confirmed my order. They do this to prevent fraud etc.

This is Macy's customer service. they were just verifying an internet order i had placed

MAcys called - they said they called me to verify my order / cards used, as i used a lot of gift cards from my wedding registry. everything finally went approved on their end, so they were good to go and submitted my online order for shipping.

I am a fraud analyst from macys.com. if you are receiving a phone call it is from: 513-398-5221 this is our mccs-hq in mason ohio and you are speaking with a consumer protections agent trying to verify your purchase to ensure the person who placed the order is the card holder and that the order wasn't placed fraudulently. So please answer and call us back so we can complete verification and process your order. Also if you could give us less attitude when we call that would be great, we are trying to protect you Thanks!

They called to confirm I placed an order. I had just changed address as well. Guess fraud department.

Received a call from this number after placing an order with bloomingdales.com, didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer, and was then confused why it said macy's when I called the number back. I called bloomingdale's directly and they informed me my order was cancelled because I didn't pick up the phone when a strange number from Ohio dialed me. I had to replace the order with bloomingdale's over the phone. Talk about some [***] customer service, maybe wait more than a couple minutes for someone to try to call in to verify their order before cancelling it?

It is Macy's Fraud Protection Department. I placed an order online around 45 minutes ago and then received a call from this number. They were verifying the order placed online at Macys.com

Received a call from this number to verify my shipping address from an order I placed online at macys.com  I paid the order with a Macy's gift card.

Got a call to confirm an online purchase from Bloomingdales, look at my credit card online account someone made a purchase. All they were concerned about was my ssn name and date of birth.

This is a legitimate call made by Macy's to confirm any credit card order made with them.

I got a call from the same number and called back they wanted to confirmed the address for delivery, i guess i have purchase a few times during the week and is a business address the deliver. I was hesitating but  they did send me an email they were trying to reach me about my order.

This was Macy's Consumer Protection seeking to confirm an order that I had made online. They are required to call the number that was provided to them at the time of the order. If the order isn't confirmed they will cancel it.

It's just macys calling to confirm it was me who placed an order so they can ship it out.
At first I didn't answer (because I usually don't answer unfamiliar numbers) but then I answered the second time when I read the comments on this site..I'm kind glad they do that...makes sure that no one is fooling around with your credit info

This call was from Macy's Credit Dept concerning possible fraud on my acct-  the charges were fraudulent and the problem resolved.

I received a call also BUT it was in reference to sending out a credit to me that I had been trying to get for 3 months. They were verifying my address, were legit

Got a call from some call center. When they said the call would be recorded I said I don't agree and hung up. They called back and I blocked the number. They then spoofed the number so the caller ID had MY name and number. Have never been in a Macys nor are there any close. Too underhanded to be legit.
