That is true to a point.

"If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered — that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry."

So if they try to sell you something while asking you questions, they are now a telemarketer.  This is law!

This # says it's from Cincinnati, OH. They leave no message.They have started calling me at least 2xs a day  I will not answer

513-562-1300 I get a call every couple days always ignored their calls. Today they called and i asked for a supervisor. I did not let her speak so i don't know why they called. She transfered me and answered and said her name was mary and the company is ORC international. I told her i was recording the call and would take legal action against them if they continue to call. They look like a big company i am sure they will pay out.

Caller ID shows "Cincinnati, OH".  No message left.

First thank you for this site.Second these idiots,and I use the term nicely,call at all hours.I reminded them the cut off point is 8pm and I am on the do not call list.They first denied calling me then asked as stated above to give them my phone number to take me off the list.I asked how they can take me off if they denied calling? The lady hung up.I filed a complaint  on the Do Not Call  list and also e-mailed to take me off their list I am not on..So far has not helped.Any suggestions?

They called, we did not answer as we did not want to receive the call.

I called this toll free number that you provided and a woman answered the phone.  I said I would like to be removed from their call list.  She verified my phone number and said she would have my number removed within 24 hours.  No drama at all.  Thanks for the info.

Received call even though am on DNC list.  I called 1-800-729-6774 and asked the woman who answered the phone to remove me from their list.  She verified my number and said it would be removed within 24 hours.

Rings about 4 to 5 times, then disconnects.

I have been getting calls from 513-562-1300 (MRSI) at least twice daily 7 Days a week and as late as 9 PM. I allow my answer machine to pick up and they leave no message. I'm not so sure it is a good idea to email them or even call their numbers because I suspect they would also have caller ID and this would be a red flag that they have your attention. Plus answering their calls again might only escalate the problem. As for email, I get enough SPAM and this would likely encourage them to sell my email address or  send their own spam. Unfortunately doesn't seem there is anything I can do other than just ignore their calls or pick up and blow a horn into the phone.....hummmm now there is an idea :-)

They are calling again.  This time I wrote to my U.S. Senator about getting exemptions from the federal do not call list removed.  Since our federal representatives don't have much on their agenda these days, perhaps it will get looked into.  After all, some would prefer not to hear the results of surveys, etc.

How do your request them not to call when they hang up as soon as you answer? GREAT survey company, huh?
I contact Do Not Call and include a link to this site so they can see just how many people are complaining about the number I'm reporting.
I would never give them the opportunity to have my email address, either. I don't trust them.

If they're going to keep calling, then I'm going to jack them around with bogus answers (and then tell them the answers are bogus once we get toward the end of the call).

Next I will call their real number, 513-579-1555, a few times to register my displeasure.  Perhaps using the same air horn that is at the ready for answering such unsolicited calls.
