- Texas WayneI have been receiving phone calls for two months. Caller ask for Jeff or Scott or a Hispanic named person I always respond I am not the person. Caller stated they would take my number off list. I finally started looking into this phone number(513-605-7537) today and what a find. Looks like a scam for sure. Never had a Student Loan or any large loan. I called two different persons using the number my cell recorded. Asking where did they get my cell number, they stated in a very rude way" if I wasn't the person ask for no information" I never give them time to ask for any other info I talk more than they do!

- digitalevaThis company (GRC) has been calling me for the past month every two days, several times a day. They claim to be associated with ITT Tech, and are trying to collect a debt that totals up to roughly $10,000 that they claim is due "upon departure". The guy who called admitted that he was working for a debt collection agency, but then said that under federal law, he was unable to tell me anything more than that. They even asked for my Social Security Number to confirm it was me. The thing is, I was never made aware of any fee that was due "upon departure" in the MPN (Master Promissory Note). I read that document over three times. Nothing about a fee that was due immediately.
We have called ITT and they are telling us to ignore the calls, as they have never worked with that company before. They are rather curious as well as to how they accessed the files. We are working with ITT to sort this out.
If anybody else is currently attending ITT: BEWARE.

- digitaleva replies to 513-605-7537This is the same thing with me. I just have to take a semester off to save up some money for another one. I can't afford to go continually.
- digitaleva replies to Rodney again...| 1 replyHowever, they are calling people who are still enrolled. I have not "departed" from ITT. I am taking this semester off. They never leave a message, and ITT is even unsure as to how they got my info. The person who called was very rude and snippy.
- digitaleva replies to AnonMentioning something about their terms being mentioned on the Master Promissory Note? If so, we have similar situations.
- digitaleva replies to AlfalfaAgreed. How does one bring this up?
- SoFla GrandmaGot a call from unknown person at GRC wanting to speak to Charlene Baker. When told they had a wrong number they got extremely rude.

- CindyGRC has been calling me several times over the last few months. Always left a message. Finally this morning I spoke with a person and she seemed to think my student loans were in default (they are not). When I told her such, she wanted to offer help should I ever go into default (I will not). I told her to NEVER call again. She was rude to my boyfriend when he told her to stop calling, insisting she could only speak to me, and needed my DOB to confirm information. I have LifeLock to watch for identity theft, so I won't worry that GRC will try and steal my identity, however, I will be calling my school and also the company that holds my student loans to make them aware of this company and what they are doing. I will also call the BBB to report this company for their rude and unlawful dealings. For those who may be default on thie loans, DO NOT LISTEN to this company-work only with the company that holds your loans. I find it very interesting the Sallie Mae and Freddie Mac are the only ones doing this to people as they are the companies that had to be bailed out by the federal government. It is a scam to get more money from people who just don't know any better. I hope this helps.

- They're RealMy husband actually owes money to NSU itself, last week I called the school. They gave me the number to GRC and apparently its been in collections since 2002. We weren't too happy considering that it has never come up on his credit report or have we been contacted. My only mistake was now they have our phone number, currently stationed in South Korea and they call in the middle of the night to us.

- not as smart as you think you replies to smarter than you allyou are an idiot and someday when you are stupid enough to give a stranger your SS# your identity will be stolen and that will do us all a big favor.....though luck on you...[***]...
- Coramae replies to MarcyI called them back, and refused to verify my social security number so they refused to give me information. I just told them that "If you can't tell me what you want, don't f*cking call me again".......
