I have selective call rejection on my phone service and have simply added 513-605-7537 and 888-710-6818 (the other number GRC uses) to my call rejection list.  Another alternative is to blow very hard on a police whistle into the phone when these parasites call.

it was an annoying call. I don't know how they got my number. They should stop calling to bother people like that.

This company just called me and I hung up I refuse to give out my social security number and any other information that you want.Plus you woke me up out of my sleep now I am mad as hell.

My husband's cell was called, and when I answered, they barely spoke English but were very rude. I told them wrong number and hung up. Hopefully they won't call again.

So I've looked this number up and on a couple of sites it says that this number is a collection agency affiliated with Sallie Mae for student loans. Now I do have student loans with Sallie Mae that I am in the process of paying back. Here's what I find crazy....I did once answer this number and spoke to a woman and I explained to her that I am very busy as an active duty military member, which I am, and I know that my account is delinquent. I explained to her that this happened because of a problem with my previous debit card that I did right away get replaced. When I looked at my account I noticed that after a payment made to catch up, I'm only delinquent on $22. Really folks, you're going to call someone up to 2 or 3 times a day for $22? Harassment much. And after I explained the situation.

This is a phishing scam! I called the Real Sallie Mae and these calls are not associated with them.  Call the FTC and lodge a complaint, if enough of us do they will prosecute them. I filed a complaint last week.

Oh my goodness !! This just happened to me too ! They were looking for a Megan , and I told them I didn't know Megan and this wasn't her phone . Then he proceded to ask me if there was adults around he could talk to and I'm 23 years old? I told them there was not other adults just me and he said he would call back later then and hung up .

It's a company that calls me every month on behalf of Sallie Mae because I pay my student loans back 2 weeks late every month.  Sallie Mae set me up to make payments on the 23rd, I pay mine on the 8th because I get paid on the 7th so I have to deal with these clowns calling me and wasting time & resources because Sallie Mae cannot be flexible and allow me to just change my payment date to the 8th of every month. Sallie Mae & this company (GRC) are low-lifes.

I just got a voicemail from this today, 6/18/2014, it's Sallie Mae. A buddy put me down as a reference on student loans he's not paying. Idiot. I don't know if someone was previously using this number, or spoofing it, but today's call was legitimate.

This call is from Sallie Mae regarding federal student loans. They contacted me because I was used as a reference.

Hi Doug - I don't think it's Sallie at all.  I am regularly late on my loan for the same reasons and never got calls before.  As others said, its a phishing scam....

I've been receiving numerous calls from this number. They don't leave a message and when i call back the call gets disconnected.
