- ShariI got a call from this number, the man asked for Susan, told him there was no one here by that name. He knew the city and state I live in and said I sounded like Susan who lives in the same city and state, said to me, weren't we together at ...(couldn't understand where and asked him to repeat it, still couldn't understand) I asked him his name and he said it was Peter. He was insistant that my number was the same as Susan and then said there must be two of you and hung up. I atill am thinking about this call, it was very weird. ANyone else get a call like this from 514-288-0420?
- Call type: Valid
- Terry replies to you don't sayGrammAr is not spelled with an "e" before the second "r." You should not be preaching when you're no better with the English language than Robin is!

- NA| 4 repliesI work for Opinion Search. It's honestly [***] that you people go on and on complaining and saying that they're a telemarketing company, etc.
We do MARKET RESEARCH. It's a completely legal practice. Just look it up. All those people you are contacting to complain to, yeah, that won't work. The reason? Some of them have actually hired us at one time or another. Any federal charges will be thrown out because, hey, we're a legal company.
I admit there are some morons who work there. If you have an issue, dial 514-288-0199. Ask for a supervisor, tell them your problem, and ask them to remove your number from the calling list. It should fix your problem.
I've been working there for a number of years, and I know that this can be annoying, but we're only looking for opinions and not trying to steal anyone's ID or anything. We're legitimate. - MNF| 1 replyYeah, I work for that company. It's legit. To hopefully answer a few of the concerns I've seen here.
The system does work on an automated dialer, a lot of the time there's a delay connecting you to us hence that silence you hear. Yeah... we hate it, too. Sorry for that.
We get numbers from the company who want us to conduct the surveys. Whether it's from a list of their customers or just a sample of businesses, we don't collect the numbers themselves.
And, finally, the big question: how to get removed from our list. It's easy, if one of us calls... just ask to be placed on the Do Not Call list. At that point we'll wish you well, end the call, remove your number from that survey's record and pass your number to the supervisor on duty and that'll be the end of it.
Please note, we CANNOT take hints. You have to specifically ask to be put on the Do Not Call list. If we put a number on the list when somebody hasn't specifically asked for it we get killed by the higher ups. Sorry, but we're covering our own butts too. - OSEmployee| 1 replyBy the way, all the "silent" calls are due to the lousy auto-dialer we're stuck with at that place. I'm actually one of the people on the phones at that place and we all HATE the auto-dialer.
If anything, please start complaining about these calls. Maybe if OpinionSearch/Decima/Harris gets into enough trouble for it they'll drop the stupid auto-dialer and we can get back to being respectable.
Or more respectable... whatever. - pikup9:45 pm on a friday 1st call i answer girl describes the survey she is doing (something about a company i do not know about)i refuse and tell that i would maybe anser a survey but not from a organization tath calls people at that time of night she asked if there would be a better time and i said yes not at this time she replied by saying ok then in the evenig i said yes then said that they had there chance with me

- JB replies to I.B.Same problem as everyone else. Note that the "do not call" link above is only for one survey company. They will send it on to others but I doubt that all survey companies provide this opt-out option. I have Shaw phone which allows me to block a list of numbers.

- Mike| 1 replyI have an opinion about Opinion Search. It is my opinion that they are break a Canadian law. There is a law where marketing and soliciting companies *MUST* check with the government to see if the numbers they are dialing are not registered on the do not call list.
I am not interested in asking Opinion Search to add *me* to *their* own do not call list.
I am interested in seeing that Opinion Search stops breaking the law and ignore the do not call list that the government maintains.
Without me talking to Opinion Search, I demand that they do not call me any longer.
If they don't comply we should find out if any fines apply and see to it that they will be charged that fine.- Caller: Opinion Search
