This number called me using my maiden name (how old is that) they did not identify who they were, so, i hung up.

A few moments ago ...caller from 515-309-4301  (Iowa area code)

Caller had heavy slurred southern accent - caller sounded
illiterate or drunk.  Then, there was a sound like someone grabbed a
phone out of the other persons hand and another guy who
was quite clear said that he is from Comcast and before
"...we begin, I have to tell you that this call may be monitored.  Are you Mr. and Mrs. Tompkins (wife died
last March and had been in a nursing home for about 5 years.)  I told him that I didn't think that he is Comcast and DO NOT call here again, I said, "send me an email message."  This sounded like a boiler room scam to me ...

services they will contact you via e-mail, they won't cold-call you spouting bs.

Oh Shut up! Marketlink does not use any ghost call tactis.  If you dnt want to be called call your provider and asked them to remove you fom solicitation calls. It takes 30 days to remove  a number on the DNC list. So call your provider and quite the bitching. If markelink is calling you and you never had services with any cable provider well someone did and added  your number down to the list. A stop complaining and block ananaymous calls its free bunch of idiots!

Your another idiot if they asked for Mr./Mrs. Is because the agent can't determine the customers gender by name okay. If you think bout it you would realize that many people have names that don't go with there sex gender. How dumb can you be. Another thing no company emails you unless is a receipt for a payment . Your an idiot really. You can ask the agent to certify your information and you would see is Normally sad a are not on phone but by email. Agents call to follow up with the promotions they already send in the mail which obviously you fools throw out.

I can see why telemarketers have such a lowly job--most likely were taking drugs when the education process was going on.

Called me several times past few days.  Don't know this number so didn't answer.  No message left.  Soon after this number called earlier today, as in within a minute, I got another call from a 717 area code phone number.  Again didn't answer & again no message...

My story is similar to others who have already posted. I have been receiving calls from this number for a week now. They call multiple times a day, too. I did answer the phone once, but it was complete silence. I haven't answered since and don't intend to, but it's still really annoying, especially since I see so many other people have been targeted as well.

How, on a cell phone can you send calls to Spam/Call Block? Or, can you? I have Sprint for cell service, and that is the number this company is calling me on. Can I forward to google voice? Or is google voice a whole different animal?

If you are certain that this is the company that is harassing you... well now you have their email, address, and telephone number if you choose to contact them a few times... I am not suggesting that you do anything illegal... but you might be able to get off their call list with a few phone calls... Just for the record, they call on my cell phone and I have been registered on the do no call list for a long time.

Since there is such a diverse list of bogus 'companies' for this number, and when you answer no one replies, you should be warned. This may NOT be the case, but I've heard of inmates in prisons who call anyone's number randomly and when you answer they put you on hold and then do a third party call, it can use up your minutes or if a land line it could be that the connection allows some foreign entity, like someone from China using your phone to transfer millions of bits of data without costing them.  If anyone else has heard of this please post confirmation. First time they called but I have a feeling they will be calling a lot more. The number just says Market Incorporated.
