They keep calling my number and asking for a different name.  This is a cell phone number that is not listed so I have no idea how they got it.  I told them I was verbally telling them to cease and desist calling my number and if they did it again I would take legal action.

I filed a complaint against them since I am on the do not call list, so that is what you should do: file a complaint.  Just put in the search do not call list, and file the complaint. I do all the time, and I am tired of these people being so rude.

it actually is a collection agency and if they call asking for you, then you are probably behind on a bill. If they call asking for someone u never heared of chances are that person could have had ur number before u did. The best way to get them to stop calling is just telling them u dont know the person then they will remove your number. For those of you who actually do owe money u could do this as well but they will get the number back on the system eventually.

this company calls my mother-in-laws house about 10 times or more a day. it's almost 2pm and have already called 6 times. they are calling for my husband, but we moved out of our in-laws house in april. my mother-in-law told them in mid-april where we moved to and said to stop calling her house because they have no legal business with anyone in the household and she is on the DNC list. we live an hour away and i just had a baby 3 weeks ago, so we don't have time to visit much. im at her house today and have filed a complaint with DNC along with emailing the company telling them that we will take legal action for harassment if it continues.
they are located in uniondale, NY which is about an hour drive from my in-laws... i may just show up to their building with police in tow.

I thank you for posting this message about your call from that number.  I just got a call from the same number twice.  I answered the phone twice and both times they hung up on me without saying a word to me.  Anyway, thank you again for posting this.
    Take care,

This number showed up on my home phone. They didn't leave a message. I don't know who they are so I don't answer. It is awful and rude not to leave a message or know what they want.

I keep getting numerous calls from someone asking for Linda Schaeffer.  The problem is I know no one by that name.  I keep telling them that and when I ask who they are they keep hanging up.  It's not always the same person calling.  I don't have caller I.D. and *69 wasn't telling me anything.  So finally I outsmarted them and told them I'd get Linda and may I ask who's calling?  Turns out it's Tritium Cards.  She apparently pulled a fast one on them and gave them a false phone number, mine!  Thesee people have no clue who they're messing with!  I may lose battles but I win wars and if they want to play hardball they will be sorry!

The same company calls from 1-877-207-2500, they say I own money, I do NOT.  I asked for her number, I hung up and called back, A man picked up I asked the name of his company and he hung up on me. IF this is true business they would not be hanging up on people.

I got two vmsg, one on a Friday then other Sunday evening instructing me to call 877-207-2500 about an 'urgent credit card' issue. When I called the guy who answered could not tell me anything other than the company's name was Tridium and he needed information from me before he could provide me any assistance. I asked who Tridium represented and why would they be calling me. He stated they represented 'a number' of companies but was unable to provide me with a single company name unless I provided him information about me. His demeanor and elusive behavor set off all kinds of alarms, I told him I had no intentions of providing any information and not to call me again. Unforunately some people have no morals....

    Tactics are alarming
We received a phone call from 516-390-6500 and the caller ID showed Tritium Card Services.  They asked for someone who doesn't live here and my husband stated no one by that name lived there.  The man persisted.  My husband asked where this man was calling from, he said his name was Damien, my husband again asked him where he was calling from, he again said his name was Damien, my husband stated he understood that but where was he calling from, Damien then said New York.  He never disclosed where he was calling from or why he was calling when asked.  I GOOGLED this company and found out they are a collection agency.  The person they were trying to reach is not at our number but this is apparently a 3rd party collection agency and they are bound by strict Federal Laws as well as State Laws and State Laws are usually more strict than the Federal Laws so 3rd party collection agencies must abide by the State Law if it is more strict than the Federal Law.  When we asked where they were calling from, they were bound by law to tell us.  When asked why there were calling, due to the privacy laws, unless they have confirmed they are talking to the debtor they are trying to contact, they should have said "it's a personal call".  We didn't get any of the information we requested.  Everyone should GOOGLE the FDCPA (Federal Debt Collection Practices Act) website and read up on the laws of 3rd party collection agencies.  The laws for 3rd party collection agencies is much more strict than 1st party collection agencies.  You have the right to send a letter requesting they cease and desist in contacting you via phone (your home and/or place of employment), mail, neighbors, relatives, etc.  If they don't, you can file a complaint with the Attorney General's office.  Send every written correspondance via certified mail with a return receipt requested, and keep a record of the correspondance for yourself, so you have a written record of your mailings.  Write down the name of the person calling you (most states don't allow the collector to use an alias but some do so look into that), agency name and time of every call received so if you file a complaint, you have documentation to back it up.  Call the original creditor to confirm your account has been placed with the 3rd party collector prior to confirming any personal informaion or submitting payments.  You have a right to request validation of the debt from the original creditor.  This information should be received by you within a reasonable amount of time (30 days is the normal reasonable amount of time).  Also, see if the collection company is a member of the ACA (American Collection Agency), if they are, in order to be a member, they have guidelines they must follow in order to be a member, which are more strict than the State Laws.  If they are a member of the ACA, file a complaint with them as well.  3rd party collectors are not allowed to threaten you in any way, including to sue you, repossess, foreclose, etc.  They can relay a message from the original creditor, which you can confirm with the original creditor, but, it is against the law for them to misrepresent themselves in an effort to collect money.  Do your homework before you verify any personal information or submit payments, there are too many scams out there.  I hope this helps everyone, times are tough, most people in this situation didn't want it or ask for it, life gave it to them.

caller said they were calling about some equipment that we owned- which we do not own any equipment then they tried to say it was for a computer.  I advised them that I do not have a computer or internet at my home and my wife who works at a law firm asked them to fax a statement to her office needless to say was not there the next day.

I've received several calls received several calls from Tritium Card Services asking for my Mom. As soon as they state the call may be recorded and I state I object to the call being recorded, either they have hung up on me, or I have hung up on them...

What happened is that my Mom's Visa card statement got delivered to the wrong address the next block over, and we finally got it after the due date - 2 weeks after to clarify. Same house number but different street...

Bank Of America was told of this, and indicated they understood what had happened. So I thought (and so did Mom...) that all was done in this matter - wrong we both obviously were...

Now this Tritium Card Services has called several times. I refuse to deal with these people, and so does Mom...

This was turned over to a collection agency in such a short period of time??? Less than a month???

Anyone else experienced this with Bank Of America???

You need to send them a certified/return receipt requested letter and tell them to stop calling you. By the law they must do so, as it applies in most states...

Wow, I'm really glad i stumbled onto this website. I have been gettin the same calls, always unknown and never leaves a message for about the last 2 or 3 weeks. So today I finally picked up and talked to a Justin Davidson. He stated he was calling from Tritium Card Services in regards to a past due account. Didn't ask me to confirm my social or anything before continuing on. He got to the part about how much my payments would be for 4 months and then asked for my bank routing number and acct #. I stated that I don't like to give out that information on the phone to agencys I don't know. He gave me a number 1 800 231 2957 and his ext to call him back so it would "ease my mind."
I haven't called back. Will go directly to 1st party creditor.

Tritium card services has been calling my relatives harassing them.  Tritium won't give out any info, they just want my phone number.  They want calls returned to 1-800-231-2957.
I called the number and found they DO have my personal number.  But they never called it.  They are calling about a delinquent Kohl's account.
The rep. I spoke to was very pleasant, but I know now who to send the C&D letter too!
    I appreciate this message board!
