    Jose
This company Tritium calls with the number blocked as unknown then calls right back with 516-390-6500. I have YOUMAIL which sends unknown callers to ditchmail (cant leave a message). When they called with the number unblocked they left a message asking for Jose saying it was Tritium.. I called them back and told them there is no Jose here. They wanted my information. What a joke! How does this company expect you to take them seriously when they play games? Don't know if its Jose they really want. Just be up front man, if you are ligit. Apparently you are not.
Unbelievable. I can't imagine what their strategy is, maybe they think they will annoy people enough and they will call them with and just give up their ssn to a company they dont even know? Well I guess there are some idiots out there who send money to people in Nigeria too. I just put my call on vibrate and have it only ring for people I know. So I dont even know they called until I see my missed calls now. They are wasting their time.

    Won't Get Me
Received 3 calls from these people today on my cell. First two calls were 'restricted' numbers and the third from 516-390-6500. They are persistant in trying to get confirmation of my identity which I would not provide and they would not say anything other than that they work for Tritium and it's an 'important business matter.'

This number has been calling my cell phone 3-4 times a day for the last week. It sometimes comes up "unknown" but every now and then this number pops up. It immediately connects you with a recording that says to wait on the line. Normally I just hang up but since they called today (a Sunday) I was irked and stayed on the line. Some lady with a bad accent came on and said "hello?" as if I was calling her. I threw all sorts of questions at her: who are you? what business are you with? etc. I couldn't understand her but once I let her have it and explained that I was on the "national do not call list" she hung up on me. Hopefully they won't call back.

today my phone rang 5 five...first unknown caller, I answered a recording came on and said "please hold this is an important message."  I hung up.  twenty minutes later another call, private number...I answered same response, "please hold this is an important message."  I hung up. Again, twenty minutes later, private number, same thing.  I hung up.  Twenty minutes after that Tritium Card Services came up, I answered and this time didn't hang up, but waited for someone to get on.  The girl asked if I knew this person, I said it doesn't matter to stop calling this number as I am on the do not call list.  She said but do you know him and if so  does he live there, I said it doesn't matter whether I know him or not I am not answering that and they better stop calling because I would refer them to the better business bureau.  I then hung up and proceed to the computer to look this number up.  Thank you for all your input.  I will be reporting them.  Collection agency or not, this is not the way to go about it.

received call from 1-516-390-6500, Googled number and see complaints from a lot of people, didn't recognize number so didn't answer, no message was left (I don't answer calls from out of the area that I don't recognize).  Seeing how far back these complaints go, why do people continue to receive calls from this number?  Can't anything be done about it?

Call received indicating that my Bank of America VISA account was 60 days overdue for $980.

Except I do not have a VISA card with Bank of America.

When I requested that the caller fax me the details, the call was terminated.

It's possible that the $22,000 past due you state are lies can be the actual balance you owe since your closed the account. EVEN though you close an account, it STILL REVOLVES and will ACCRUED INTEREST until the account is PIF!

    You are an idiot
I have seen several of your BS DEBT COLLECTOR RESPONSES - and as usual you are ignoring the actual complaints.

    - CALLING WRONG NUMBER FOR SOMEONE THEY DO NOT KNOW
    - CALLING ABOUT NON-EXISTENT DEBT - CHECKED WITH ORIGINAL CREDITOR
    - REFUSING TO PROVIDE INFO ABOUT THE COMPANY AS REQUIRED BY LAW WHEN REQUESTED.
    -HANGING UP WHEN QUESTIONED.

these are all signs of SCAM debt collections and have nothing to do with actual debts owed by anyone.

My parents have recieved many calls from them. I found out that they represent Bank Of America credit cards and the issue we had was that they were calling to authorize a few charges put on my mom's card. The man on the phone was very nice and answered all our questions WITHOUT needing any personal information. Plus he only called once a day and left detailed voice messages on our answering machine.

Everyone here complaining and crying over Tritium are a bunch of idiots.  This is a real company trying to help people w/delinquent accounts.  If people keep hanging up w/out finding out the reason for the call, calls will keep on coming nonstop, read up FDCPA laws, all this crap about "ill report you" isn't going to work

How ignorant can you get?  I was called by this company and solved my financial problems so now I'm debt free, unlike most of you.  :)

    Have a nice day

They have called my cell phone up to 12 times a day. And at 11:30pm on a saturday and 7:00am on a sunday. I don't owe anyone anything. I am on the no call list also. and I live alone. I think someone is using made up #'s on the internet and we are the victims of this crap, like ID theft only they use our #'s instead of our identity when prompted to enter a phone number.

This is in addition to my previous post

The government needs to make it illegal for these people to do this. They need to make it so a collection agency is only aloud to corespond by e-mail or snail mail. To the addresses given

Regarding Bank of America - I'll try to keep this a "family-rated" response.

SIA(?) Card Services called me yesterday and went through the schpeel about the last four numbers of my ss#, etc; they said Bank of America had turned my account over to them because it was 5 DAYS LATE!!!  I've have my card for over 20 years and have never been late before!  Not only that, today the calls from Tritium start!!!

This was after I had spoken to BOA, who apparently wouldn't know how to be helpful if their life depended on it - so much our tax dollars at work bailing them out.  I'm almost wondering if they're selling "late lists" the way they use to sell "mailing lists."

For any of you who really need help with the calls, contact the FTC and log a Consumer Complaint.  www.FTC.gov; under Quick Finder on the home page is Comsumer Complaint.

    Good luck to us all!!!
