I got a call from this number several days ago. They said they were part of a radio station survey that I had participated in about a week previous. I said I did not want to participate again and hung up. Since then, I have been receiving hang-up calls from them about 3-4 times a day EVERY DAY since. This is HARRASSMENT! Reverse phone directory lists this as a land line in Tucson, AZ. I hit redial and get a message that the person does not have a voicemail box set up.

When I looked up that company, the website didn't list that number, nor did a search of that number pull up their website. However, I did find this link:

    http://www.eipaweb.org/Customer-Service/Find- ... wers-657629.htm

However, yes, that number doesn't work - goes straight to a no voicemail message. Number is unlisted but is definitely a Qwest landline number. So with that number having come to no fruition I returned to FRM's website, this page specifically.

    http://www.fmrassociates.com/contact.asp

So I called the number on that page, got my number removed from their list, and reported to whomever I spoke with that, a) the number doesn't work for callbacks, and b) there are numerous web reports that when someone answers, the caller hangs up. I don't know if that will do any good or not, but we'll see. I'll be sure to do a follow-up post if I end up having to call the FCC to bust these people. They promised my number would be off their list by tomorrow.

Caller ID stated: FMR Associates.  When answered there was no one there.  They call several times a day.  I am suppose to be on the "Do Not Call" list.  I just don't answer it anymore.

remember, people, if you really want to get off their list, the best way is to specifically tell them, "please take me off your list".  Ignoring them or hanging up on them won't do it.

They called again a few days later and this time someone stayed on the line. They said they were FMR Associates, a survey service, and they wanted me to participate in another survey. I told them no, and to remove me from their list. They sai they would and I have not received any more calls.

I have a nice bit of software on a computer with a telephone modem that detects particular caller IDs and if the name and/or number is on my list, it plays a recorded message that starts with a SIT tone (that's the 3-note tone you hear when you dial a number that doesn't exist), then plays a message that says "we are not sorry that we don't accept calls from sleazy solicitors) and then it hanghs up. FMR Associates is on my list, but apparently their calling robot doesn't respond to SIT tones because they keep calling about once every two weeks. I will contact them directly and tell them about privacy laws. When you tell them you do not want them to call, they are violating the law when they do, so why don't you sheep (sorry, but you're all not taking the right path to stop them) get off your butts and protect yourself from jerks like FMR Associates who use such thoughtless techniques as predictive dialing to increase their chances of violating you? They are easy to find on the internet. Their contact information is readily available. Let them know you won't tolerate their abuse of your privacy.

Just "Google" FMR Associates and you'll find them under www.visittucson.org. Then you can call or email some or all of the principals of the company at some ridiculous time of the night and ask them to please quit calling you and take your number outta their "predictive" dialing computer program. Then maybe you can find some "knucklehead" that does answer the phone to ask them to put you on their "Do Not Call List". ( There's probably not alot to do out there in the desert, so they just pick up the phone a start dialing numbers til they get someone on the phone that wants to talk to them, Ha, Ha!)

"Google" FMR Associates. Then go to visittucson.org Then you'l have the info to contact to them to ask them to take a "survey", to please take you number outta their "predictive dialing computer or "take a hike"...( Pretty picture of the desert on the visit Tucson web page though). Good Luck!
