    barely getting by
Received a phone call from (520) 290-3741.  No message.  Pulled up the link below and was able to access company information.  Called them at (520) 886-5548 on Saturday and a pleasant sounding lady answered the phone as FMR Associates.  I asked her what I need to do in order to be removed from their list.  She asked for my phone number to remove it from the list and said I should receive any more calls.  Hopefully this helps.

    @barely getting by

I went out to the FMR Associates website and spotted a link labeled "To be removed from our calling list".

I did not do the removal thing.  This company has not been that annoying (at least not under the 520-290-3741 number).

BTW - Received a call last night; 10/26/2010 at 6:51 p.m. - I did not answer - No message left.  Chances are that they will never get to talk to me.  The caller id feature tells me not to answer.

On our home phone system we can block numbers from within the telephone itself. I can block them through my phone company but only 5 numbers. My phone doesn't give them any cute message it just sends a loud dial tone (extra loud) and then hangs up. I do like the idea of calling the president of the company though. I may give him a very early morning call.  I'm up and awake at 4:30 AM eastern time and since they don't care what time they call ... why should I. After all it's a normal part of my day.

The best suggestion is to use your phone system to block their number. By giving them your phone number(s) to block, or emailing them to block, they have more marketable information about you. It also prevents them from knowing the hours you are at home if they are nefarious and not just greedy and annoying marketeers.

I just phoned them at the number I found on their web site.  A person answered after the first ring and was polite when I asked her to remove my number from their call list.  She said she would remove it.  Also on the web page I found this (after making my call):
To be removed from our calling list send a e-mail to  remove@FMRassociates.com
(please include the word "remove" and phone number to be removed in the subject line)

I just love the internet.  Finding the information on this web page and the FMR associates web page is liberating!  Thanks to all who took the time to post notes here.

I have it on my calendar to post again here in 1 month to advise as to whether one of the suggestions posted here worked for me.

I used the website  http://www.fmrassociates.com/contact.asp and scrolled down to the instructions that related to how to be removed from further calls.  I used the email address it advised to use for me to send an email.  I complied with the instructions to place in the SUBJECT LINE "remove 123-456-7890"  (substitute within the parenthesis a real number you want to prevent future calls from being received).

I transmitted the email using my email software with my email address I have never used before to transmit email.  I will see if (1) the telephone calls stop, and (2) if I get any spam.

I keep getting calls from 520-290-3741 in the evenings but no one leaves a message.  Caller ID states FMR Associates.  I'm trying to decide whether to block the number or not.

Received a call from 520-290-3741 in "Tucson Arizona" (caller ID). It is from FMR Associates. I called their office and requested a removal from their system. It literally took about 45 seconds. The receptionist immediately passed it off my call to her supervisor (Debbie). She said "no problem" and did it immediately. The number is 520-886-5548. Everyone I spoke with was really nice and polite. I hope this helps someone.

These people are selling your information. They are just another form of telemarketer making a sale to their clients but hiding behind the bizarre legal exception of conducting a survey. Who got payed off in Congress to allow such utter nonsense?
Do you want to effectively express your discontent?  Look up the business owners and senior managers names in one of the various business directories (ask a librarian for help). Find the owners home phone number (again, ask the librarian for help if necessary). Most businesses have to list their owner's personal residence information in their state of incorporation for the business.Almost all this information is available on the Internet by using your local library's databases. Then call the owners at home to let them know what you think. Don't forget to block your telephone number.Call them over and over again during several days or weeks or months. Make it a legitimate call (no harrassment) by expressing a well-worded opinion or concern each time. Calling them at home in the evening and talking with family members will really get their attention! Don't use threats or bad language. Just be a giant pain in their butt! Pay back on telemarketers is sweet!!!

Above is the link to FMR's management contact information. Did they call you at home? Return the favor by calling them at home after looking up their phone numbers in the Tuscon AZ area. Express your opinions and concerns, but do not say or do anything illegal. It's advisable to block your number before calling. Expressing your concerns to their family members will really get their attention.
