This is just the latest in a long list of rotating and harassing phone numbers. Note: insurance industry surveillance harassment for 6+years. Disability benefits were withdrawn and then restored on appeal. Health insurance benefits were denied for complicated surgery and then covered (at ridiculously low reimbursement) on appeal. Battle on-going.

just called them and gave my number to them to take off.  He explained the reason for the hang ups is that if the person calling does not hear anything in the first 4-5 seconds, it will hang up and roll over to the next number to be called.  he seemed nice to get all my phone numbers....will see.

I answered. They asked to do an radio survey. Asked age, radio station I listen to, how long, and then my SALARY. I sis not answer the salary question. But it was 30 sec and they did not call back. So, it may be worth the few secs for them not to call--- you can even lie.

I'm getting calls from 520 290 3741 and it is from FRM Associates.  The only way you can get this annoying people off is that you have to be home and answer the phone when they call, as if you call the number to be asked to be removed, they state you have to answer REAL at home and then tell to quit bothering you. I think the government needs to step and stop these crooks as I'm tired after a hard day at work as a bill collector to see some annoying person I don't know bother me during dinner or seeing the number on my called id.

Maybe a report to the Attorney General's office would stop thease annoying people? Or maybe call them in the middle of the night at the house and bother them?????

YET ANOTHER PERSON WHO HAS NO IDEA WHAT IS COVERED AND NOT COVERED BY DO NOT CALL LAWS - SURVEYS ARE EXEMPT

Will All Telemarketing Calls Stop If I Register?

If I register my number on the National Do Not Call Registry, will it stop all telemarketing calls?

No. Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls. However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request.  You should keep a record of the date you make the request.

Are calls from political organizations or calls soliciting for charities covered?

Political solicitations are not covered by the TSR at all, since they are not included in its definition of “telemarketing.”

Charities are not covered by the requirements of the national registry. However, if a third-party telemarketer is calling on behalf of a charity, a consumer may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity. If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $16,000 .

    What about telephone surveys?
If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered — that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry.

I'm sick of telemarketers or market researchers calling me.  They are selfish.  They don't care if my husband just died.  They are only interested in what they want.

My husband did the survey and answered all questions honestly. They called back the very next night-- I kindly told them that they had already called us and we had already answered the questions, and to please not call back again since they had their answers.
The man on the phone said that his computer had no record of ever calling us before and was annoyed that I might tell him his computer system was wrong.  That was over a week ago, and they have called back twice since then... we're just letting it go to voicemail now.  After reading these comments, I went to their website where you can email them and ask to be removed from the call list... we'll see if it works...

Does getting your number off their phone registry even work? Sounds more like the spam "unsubscribe" scam where it's only used to find out that the e-mail address is active.
