- BMy bf called them to set up a payment plan and now they are calling everyong inluding me about this. He called them Monday and I got calls on Tuesday and Wednesday. He is trying to fix what he did wrong by defaulting on his loans and they are already going after people. Terrible business. terrible.
I will happily file a compaint or tell them off next time they call me. - State of GeorgiaI made the same mistake as "B"'s bf. I am not a dead-beat and realize that I need to settle up with my student loan: however, times have been tough. I took their call to honestly engage them in how I can begin making good on the outstanding balance. After that, these [***] immediately called ... 1) my father 2) two of my employees 3) my wife 4) and call on average 3 times per week. I AM PISSED OFF. These guys are out of control. The lady who keeps calling EVERYONE is "Ruth." It's these kind of collectors who really make you want to shut down and not honor your obligations. They are horrible.

She said he had listed me as a reference, so that's why she was calling. She proceded to ask if he still lived and asking if she could get a contact phone number... At which time I asked what the reference was in regards to. She said it was a business matter and without his permission she could not give any information. I stated that without his permission, I could not give out any personal information.

- Annoyed| 1 replyMy mom received a call from a lady today from this number. Of course Asking for me. My mom told her that I wasn't here, and if she could take a message. So that I could call her back. The lady demanded my mom's name and then hung up. Called back, said they got disconnected and then decided to get nasty with my mom. Using profanity, and just being plan nasty. My mom finally got nasty back at her, told her off and hung up. If this is a so called Collection Agency, why would they use profanity, and be rude. I thought they had to be professional. Is their a way that I may complain about the lady. I do have student loans, but I am paying on all them. So this makes no since to me.

- Unhappy call recipientFemale....and I say female because this human being was definitely not a lady in any sense of the word, called wanting info about another person. When I wanted info from her.....she repeated her name....DUH ! !
I said that I heard her....But WHO are you ? Her reply was "Why are you yelling at me" .... I told her "YOU called me....WHO are you?" Finally I told her she's a [***]....and she said "NO, YOU ARE" (Insert lots of laughing here..because that is what we use to reply to kids back in grade school). Crazy world where people like that can get a job working the phone ! ! ! ! !- Caller: DCS

- Had enoughRecieved a phone call and didn't answer no message left. 20 min later got a call from my mother in law saying they called her. I've only been married since June and have no current debt and all student loans are in proper order. My mother in law called back asked them not to call her as its not her issue and in return was treated very rudely....I pray he calls me back, want to harass someone? Be ready to get it back! If you can't tell me the exact debt then the only one who should be contacting me is the company in which the debt is with.

- to anon replies to Anon| 4 repliesif you have a defaulted student loan it is attached to your SSN. There is no scam about taking out a loan & breaking your contact by not paying it back. For those of you who CHOOSE to pickup & hangup, ignore, &./or play games the consequense ALL on you. When you have a Federally backed loan you need to take care of it. Other wise you get your pay check garnished, 100% of your federal taxes ceased by the Dept. of Education. The CHOICE is all up to YOU weather you CHOOSE to take care of it voluntary or involuntary.

- MichaelFunny how I just got an update letter that pertains to my student loan and it says that I have a "0" balance, all I do when they call is answer the phone and I just put it down next to the tv so that can listen to the tv show that I'm watching, I have proof that I paid my student loan so I have no reason to talk to them, and I never will

- Melisa Riley| 1 replyA man named "Alan" from this company called my business phone looking for a former employee. The manager answered the phone and notified "Alan" that there was no employee by that name employed here. The manager was polite and gave his name when asked. "Alan" then requested to speak with a manager. My employee notified "Alan" that he was the manager. So "Alan" then requested to speak with someone above him. Once again, my employee notified "Alan" that he was the manager and if there were any problems he could speak with him. "Alan" became irate, started yelling so my employee told him to have a good day and hung up the phone. At that point, my employee instantly assumed this was a creditor and notified me of the phone call. In an attempt to rectify the situation, I called them back and spoke with "Alan". I notified him that I was the owner of this business and verified that the person they were looking for no longer worked here. Instantly he questioned why the other person he spoke to said he was the manager. Once again I verified that he was the manager and I was the owner. I did let "Alan" know that I did not appreciate the way he called my business and treated my employee. He instantly got snippy and stated that my employees should not be so rude, then hung up on me. So, I called them back and requested to speak with a manager. I was forwarded right back to "Alan". I told "Alan" who I was and that I wanted to speak with a manager. He proceeded to inquire why, which I did not answer. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager with every question. When he stated he needed to know why so he could appropriately transfer me, I told him I didn't care what manager he transfered me to, I want to speak to anyone other than you. He refused. At this point, I became mad and cursed at him, which at that time he stated I was being really professional and hung up the phone. So, I called my local police station. They suggested I either call them back or wait for them to call back and notify "Alan" and his company that a harrassment report will be filed against them if they continue to call. I did call back, talk to "Lois Reed". Notified her to who I was and that a report has been filed and if they call this business again, we will proceed further. I didn't even give her a chance to respond. I let her know that was all and hung up the phone.
With all the complaints I've seen made against this company, I can't understand why nothing has been done to stop this kind of harrassment yet. All I can do is my part. I will also be filing complaints with the BBB, Atty Generals office and Federal Trades Commission.- Caller: Performant Recovery
