- trs| 1 replythey called my cell # twice. Left no message. They also called me at work 2day. VERY RUDE lady. My loan is supposed to be in deferment but she said its not and in 2 days they are garnishing my wages! WOW what a notice. But now after reading all these other comments I guess we aren't alone!
- tcalled cell phone twice. Didn't leave a message either time.
- Low Rode| 5 repliesActually, if you have a student loan, you signed a promisary note that states that if/when you default on it (6 months after you finish school) you are fair game to be reported to credit agencies. Furthermore, all you have to do to get rid of us is tell us you don't know the person and you never heard of them, we won't waste our time dialing your number. Not letting you believe it's an emergency when trying to reach your neighbor is nothing but lawfull and respectful. If you have a defaulted student loan, we have programs available to allow you to get it out of defaulted status in to a current status, with a very very low payment, that will allow the default to be DELETED from your credit report. Also be advised, when/during the time you dispute the debt, interest keeps accruing on a debt you will have to pay anyway. There is no statute of limitations or bankrupcy forbearance for student loans, they never EVER go away so you are better off just complying.
So stop thinking student loans aren't "loans". You do have to pay them back. We are just doing our job. You are the bad guy for not paying on your loan when you should of. If you are a reference, maybe you should request not to be called again, and tell your flakey friend not to use you on applications if he's going to default.- Caller: Diversified Collection Services

- Bob| 1 replyFemale caller would not identify herself or company other than saying that call was from "DCS." When I would not answer any questions until I got more information about who was calling, the caller got irate and obnoxious. At that point I told her to remove me from their calling list and hung up.
- Gent491This is DCS collection agency. Do not give them any information on your self or your neighbor, relatives, friends, or any body. Just hang up

- ddsMy neighbor came over and told me someone at this number needed to get hold of my daughter. When she offered to take a call back number they hung up. She got the number from *69.
- horrified1st question-they want s.s. number...calling many people ,workplaces, such unskilled rude people, so underhanded ,they hang up when you won't add to all the information they are giving out about a person to you--all personal information.....they really have no idea who you are............got hung up on when I wounldn't give a s.s. number or account number......they can't keep calling people's relative's,work and expecting to let people keep their jobs, when they call so many times, and NEVER leave messages...just they will call back later--their tactics are beyond the law by giving out the information that they have......every detail of someone, when they didn't even know who they were talking to...

- MichelleI'll tell you what ticked me off.. How DARE they call and give me information about people I do not know? Their name and address and the like. What if they call the wrong type of person "hey..there's a girl across the street named Such and such.. here's her address". And how DARE they assume that just because I live near someone that I know them? Really irked me.

- abcThese people called my job asking for an employee, when I told them to stop calling because employees here cannot receive personal calls at work, they instead just kept saying they need to get ahold of him and wanted a supervisor. Now that our supervsiro will not speak with them they refuse to quite calling. I think the attorney general or better business bureau needs to know about these people! Really irritating!

- T-raDCS has been calling my house phone at least 2x/day for months. Most of the times when they had called I was either at work or didn't answer because I figured I'd get a robo-voice or an automated hang-up. I actually was sitting near the phone and answered it tonight. Surprise surprise! They are yet another creditor calling for the people who used to have my phone number. I have had this phone # for the past 3 years, so I can only assume that collections places aren't big on researching current phone numbers of people they are attempting to contact. So yes, I would have to agree with the people who are suggesting not to give personal info. out, especially since it wouldn't be surprising if there were an imposter DCS out there calling under a similar # or something. Also, all of these creditor companies (not just DCS) seem to call the [***] out of any numbers used when the original account was set up, regardless of how old the debt is. I just wish they'd at least research who the current owners of some of there numbers are! I get around 2-5 calls/day on some other peoples' old accounts just because credit agencies are too lazy to google phone #s and verify them. Sorry that was such a long rant but I feel much better now, thanks...lol

- D51 replies to BobSame here. Caller was very obnoxious asking questions about someone else without telling why when I asked what they were looking for. So I hung up and don't answer anymore. How they got both my house and cell is a question. PS: I refuse to talk to anyone who talks like that....I don't care who or where they are from.
