Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Hello my friend. I totally understand. If you are getting calls on your landline, you can purchase a call blocker from Amazon for $25 to about $70 at the most. If you are receiving unwanted calls on your cell phone, you can go to the playstore application and download a free call blocking app such as "Truecaller". When the person calls, the only thing you have to do is hit the "block called" button and they will go "POOF in a pile of smoke". Lol!!! 😉😄. Please let us know if this helps you. I wish you well. 😊

I've stopped all these guys cold.   I have my home phone forwarded to my cell phone.   If you're using your cell phone exclusively, then you're even farther ahead of the game.  Anyway, I don't answer anything outside my area code.   If they really want to talk to me, they'll leave a message, but none of the cockroaches trolling for information or free money ever has.  I miss talking to politicians, these sorts of calls, and just about anything that isn't a personal friend. If its some personal friend from outside the state, they're probably in my address book and I'll answer, but otherwise, they can leave a message.

This company used to go by the name Capio, but now they are known as Common Wealth.  They must have restructured or bought some debt from Capio. They are using a number generator to try to switch up locations. It's a medical debt collection agency.
