Been getting a lot of calls from numbers that are now using the phone number in the caller id. One with a similar MO is 3124651104.

got a call from this # at 6:57pm 12-8-2011.& did not recognize # so did not answer and no message left. We have been on do not call list since it's beginning, but apparently it doesnot work,otherwise how do these idiots get by with harassing people.

More of the same.  I received a call from this number, but did not answer because I didn't recognize the number.  There was no name associated with the number, only the telephone number. Just as reported above, they left no message.  Why can't something be done about these people?  They have no business infringing on my personal time inside my own home--I did not call them, I did not ask for their services, I am not interested in their scam.  It has come to the point that a law-abiding citizen has no rights or protection and a scammer is protected if they offer a bogus free trip.  Ridiculous!

I also get calls almost daily from this number 602-926-7354 and 360-529-6169.

They call representing my credit card company, and another day offer me a free cruise ship vacation, also surveys.  It is usually the same person named Jennifer, but sometimes the number changes.

Has anyone tried just putting down the phone when they call and just waste their time and money?

Just one more call from the scum bags who have nothing better to do.  I only wish (reporting) these numbers did some good.  When the hell is someone or some govt. agency going to do something .  These calls come night and day.  My block call list is growing by leaps and bounds.  Unfortunately these people are ruining the chances of legitimate calls being answered.

You are wrong on so many levels.  
 1.This is a government conspiracy.  They don’t stop these [***] because the more complaints they get the more they show there need and the more tax dollars they get.  The government had the “card services” scammers by the balls several years ago and let them go because they said they would go bankrupt from the fines.
 2.The FTC not the FCC over sees the DNC.  
 3.You are close to being right on one thing and that’s the use of robo dialers. They use them but they only dial the numbers that are programmed into them.  These scammers get our numbers free from the DNC list and use this list against us.  Have you noticed these calls increase at the same time every month?  It corresponds with the same time the DNC releases the new list.  
 4.There are not that many phone scammers out there, the govt. is just to corrupt to do anything about it.  I myself am being called by about five different scammers.  Each one has their own little gimmick and are constantly switching their spoofed numbers.  Card services has called me with at least 38 different numbers from different area codes.
Now go back to # 1 and watch this viscous circle begin again.

Received call from this number....I added it to my DNA list in phone registry....I have at least 8 DNA1, DNA2 DNA3, etc..  DO NOT ANSWER......

Shows up as "unknown" on my caller ID, so I never answer.  I have noticed that these bottom-feeders change numbers frequently, so it does little good to block them.  On the rare occasions that I have picked up the phone, I just hang up as soon as I realize it's a robocall, or someone reading from a script.  That seems to be the only thing we can do.

Ditto the above, "Robo machine says "This is not a sales call." You have been carefully selected to answer survey questions about the debt crisis and for your time we will give you a trip to the Bahamas. Only some small fees will apply.
Press one to take the survey and receive your trip to the Bahamas,
press nine to be removed from our list."

I pressed 9, and we'll see if that solves another mystery...

I'm on DNC call and they called.

I have posted this on other phone number posts. I have a small blue plastic doggie toy and when I shake it, it says things like, "Oh no!, belch, hello puppy, na-na-na-na-na, uh-oh, etc". When one of these pests call, I shake it into the receiver so that's what they hear!

Shows up as "602-926-7354" on my caller ID. Did not pick up, and no message was left.

I am on the DNC list but it does not matter. I keep getting calls from this #. It shows up in my caller ID as unknown. I never answer when it shows caller unknown. My answering machine answers but they do not leave a message.

All they are doing is getting a do not call list and calling all of them.
Keep on adding your number to this list so they W ONT call me
