I'm with you there. I NEVER got a telemarketer on my cell phone until I listed with DNC. Now I get at least one a day. Likewise with my home number. I've got one number who has called me every single day for over 2 weeks, and less frequently going back more than 2 months. It almost seems as if the Do Not Call list is the biggest scam going!

I just keep reminding myself that I pay for the phone for MY convenience, not anyone else's. So I feel no compunction to answer any number I don't recognize. All my voice mail messages are the same: "Because I don't talk to telemarketers, I won't answer any number I don't recognize. If you are not a telemarketer and want to talk with me, leave a message and I'll call you right back." Haven't gotten very many messages, which suits me just fine. And if I get tired of hearing a particular ringtone, I just change to a different one!

Got the call.  Answered it.  Silence.  It disconnected.  Googled it.  Found this.  Irritated but at least I know thanks everyone.  Have a Merry Christmas.

I assume this is another one of those telemarketing calls. Seems like we get them everyday on both the land line and  cell phone. . We never answer the numbers we do not recognize. Anyone have suggestions on what to do with these kinds of calls as we are on the Do Not Call List but doesn't seem to be working.

Dec. 13, 2011 I just received one from this number and earlier this afternoon got 3 calls from  different numbers one phone number called me twice within 5 minutes. Not knowing who the numbers belonged to did not answer any of them. Am really getting tried of these calls. Seems like this year has been the worse for getting these telemarketing calls.I'm with you Sue would love to know how to get these calls to s top. I am also on the DNC List.

Both our home number and my home office number got calls from this number this morning; both numbers are on the DNC list.

I answered my office line, and when I gave my usual greeting, they hung up.

I understand some callers are just trying to make a living, but for organizations that don't take us off their lists upon request, appear to be scammers or are simply rude, I turn the tables and offer to sell them something. It confuses them, they hang up, and I don't think any of them have called us back! Have fun.

I have been going to 1800 notes now for several months to look up phone numbers I see on my caller id. I get at least one a day and of course never a msg (otherwise I wouldn't have to look them up). I just wanted to say thank you to all who post their information as to who they are. I believe this is the reason this website was created and I'm thankful for everyone who has taken the time to post their information.

This win a "free" cruise just for completing a short survey is a HUGE SCAM.  Do not fall for it!  The small fees turn into huge fees that are NOT REFUNDABLE.  These scammers are calling from dozens of different phone numbers and go by a variety of company names.  If you answer this robocall, just hang up.  Report each and every scam call you receive to www.donotcall.gov.

Why are you all getting on each other? You guys came here for the same reason.  
This site is for information on scammers and telemarketers.  We share info so each of us can look up a suspicious number and find out who is calling.  This is not a place to call each other idiots and talk politics.  This is a phone number blog.  Lets use it as one.

I hung up at this point.  I don't usually answer the phone at all unless I know the number but i was curious because i have friends in AZ.

I suspect it's a scam.  nothing is FREE.

Get a call from this # almost daily. They never leave a message. This must be a scam.

I don't have any credit cards so I have no reason for their services. I can't call them back because it says it's an unreachable number. They are calling me about 4 times a day now from all over the US.

I have blocked the number, but their calls still show on the received/spam call list.

I got a call from this number but since I don't know anyone at that area code it went to voice mail where they chose NOT to leave a message.  Whatever they were wanting, I was not interested.

Another anonymous phone number from Phoenix, AZ that never leaves a message.  I don't answer numbers I don't know. And if no message is left it must not be important!

I get calls from this number too. Anymore, I just leave the answering machine turned off. When they call, it rings ten times before the machine picks up (factory default) and asks for the remote code. That's when they hang up.

This is not the only number I get calls from. Also 202-505-5495 with the caller ID showing FE2011AIC
