UNKNOWN Scam Call...did not leave a message yet all who have say it's just a scam...

If this is a SCAM or TELEMARKETING why do they call and hang up on you or just sit there listening to you say hello? over and over and over. it doesn't make any sense. over the last year I have had hundreds of these calls and have yet to have a single person on the other end say a single word to me. it's harassment on a massive scale. they get paid whether they accomplish anything with us or not. so they just sit and make calls and have a grand time listening to our frustration.

Calls my house regularly.  No messages left, no one there when I answer.  I guess they just like to annoy me with the sound of my phone ringing off the hook.

Also, people, please stop blaming the Do Not Call Registry...the Do Not Call list DOES WORK for numbers THAT AREN'T SPOOFED (wiki: Caller ID spoofing causes the telephone network to display a number on the recipient's Caller ID display that is not that of the actual originating station. Caller ID spoofing can make a call appear to have come from any phone number the caller wishes)!!!!!  Believe me - I put my old cell number on the list when it first came out years ago.  Got a new cell number recently and completely forgot about adding it to the DNC registry.  I was getting 20 calls a day from telemarketers.  I finally remembered to register the new number on there, and they stopped.  But the registry HAS NO CONTROL over anything that originates outside of the US.  That's why you still receive calls when you're on the registry.  You want them to do something about it?  Let them know who is calling you... they can't do anything if they don't know about it.  The same site you use to register for the DNC list is the same one you can report numbers that call you to... https://complaints.donotcall.gov/

Go with Ooma at ooma.com.  They offer a blocking service that sends the caller to a "this number has been disconnected and there is no new number" message.  I love it.  The best part is that it costs $100 a year for 2 lines.  It's free if you just want one line.  You have to make a one-time investment in the box but that's it.  You can get them at Best Buy.

I am receiving calls from 602-926-7354.  They do not leave messages.  Can you please  block this number from calling me.

When you make empty threats, it does not have any impact on the bad guys, they just laugh at you, and you (we) lose credibility.

This particular set of slimeballs has been in operation for a long time.  They are not in the least frightened by your post.  Sadly, they are hard to stop, and they know it.  Given the scale and longevity of this operation, you can be sure people are trying, but in spite of the apparent U.S. phone numbers, this group may well be an offshore operation.

The best way to stop them is to educate people.  As long as folks are dumb/ignorant/greedy enough to fall for scams, the scammers are going to make money.  Frequently a lot of money, as in millions of dollars.  If they get few (or no) suckers, they will go back to robbing convenience stores, which if we are lucky, will result in them being shot by the clerk.

In any case, please don't bluster, it is silly and pointless.

BTW - One other thing, DO NOT use a full real name in a place like this - it just isn't a good idea.  One of the bad guys who lurks here is liable to try and look you up, and they are very likely to start harassing the wrong person.

Just received a call from this number. Did not recognize the number, so did not pick up. No message left.

Someone and a real person called me from this number. Someone I had been looking for. Then it just started saying can not receive calls when I was trying to call them back since they never got back to me.
Now it sounds like monkeys.

If anyone can help me get in contact with anyone related to this number please let me know.

they keep calling saying they are a check fraud investigator and i have blocked the call. they call at least 1 x a week. I hate that fact that they keep doing this to me. I don't know how to report it to authorities

College referral service

Called  claiming to be the Arizona fraternal order of police.  I am in Arkansas.  Don't think I need to donate, especially since it is a scam!!!
