I have dealt with calls from debt collectors and would like to offer the following facts.
Fact 1) Debt collectors have a history of harassing innocent people by calling outdated numbers.
Fact 2) Debt collectors have a history of refusing to accept the that they have reached the that reached the wrong number.

I know these are actually facts since the above has happened to me.

Called back and there was a fast busy signal.

just a call, registered from Portsmouth NH which is in my area, no message, blocked them

Called hung up left not msg. It is a Debt collector.

says its from "debt collector" ??? seems fake. calls every 1-2 days. very irritating.

F.C.C. do your job.

Keeps calling & not leaving messages while I'm at work. I'm on the Do Not Call list!

The do not call list & the FCC are a rotten joke.  I cannot tell how how many times I have contacted them, be it through online complaints or calling them & getting absolutely nowhere with them.  The last drone of their's I spoke with literally sighed when I told her that both our home phone & cellphones have been getting unsolicited & robocalls constantly.  She supposedly took down the list of numbers I gave her & told me "we will look into this."  Considering the "quality" people the government hires for these jobs, I guarantee nothing will be done & they literally do nothing but sit on their ample posteriors & text or scroll through their Fecesbook accounts for 7 hours & complain to each other about how hard their jobs are during their 1 hour lunch breaks.  Just block these calls.  If they don't have a name on their caller ID & aren't going to leave a message to say what company their represent, they're not worth our time.  Just keep blocking & if you don't recognize a number, don't answer it!

They call and then they hang up

This number calls me off and on throughout the year and all hours of the day.  I always hit ignore.

Got a few calls from these people, I finally called back but on another phone. The automated system says that they are CCS Collectors and they are calling to collect.
I don't understand what they're calling me for, I haven't received any collection papers at all.

Calls multiple times a day, no messages left. Hangs up whenever answered.

Call from 603-957-4029, Caller ID says Portsmouth, NH and when I answer I hear a ring and a woman answered saying she was from CCS and kept asking for me by name saying it's a personal business call.  I asked to be put on the DNC list (without saying my name) and then blocked that number from calling me.

Calls every day and leaves a message

It's a debt collector.... They keep hanging up on me as well, so I called them back and listened to their message before I hung up and blocked them.

I answered and no one responded then call hung up.
