For some reason they have a GSA contract, probably revealed in the contract but I don’t have the time to read it:
https://www.gsaadvantage.gov/ref_text/GS23F0456P/GS23F0456P_online.htm
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

- calledI answered this call. It rang back as if I was calling them then a gentleman answered, said his name was Chris Farley. He was looking for someone else so he would not give me any information about his company or what he wanted so I did not share anything with him. :)
- T_HCalls several times leaves no messages.

- Anonymous| 1 replyThis is a cheap, low class, debt collection company attempting to collect a debt on behalf of the low class company known as Comcast. This is real.....Comcast stoops to this level to collect a balance. Sad, but true, settled my difference with Comcast and they haven't reported it to this low class debt collection agency. I feel for the poor employees who have chosen to work for this company. Do yourself a favor, get out quick! When the CFPB finally cracks down on this half baked agency, the doors will be locked forever! Amen!!!
- Caller: Unknown/CCS
- Anonymous replies to AnonymousCorrection to my statement above. CCS was not working on behalf of Comcast, rather, working on behalf of Quest Diagnostics. Apologies to Comcast and steer clear of CCS. They are without a doubt, bottom feeders when it comes to collections.
