Surveys are not subject to Do Not Call, as long as they're just surveys and don't follow up the call with a sales pitch.

This number keeps calling and not leaving any msg. Spammer I presume

ID says: "16083716666".....  Call, say nothing, ignore the screener's warning, and you get blocked! All scammers and unknown, unspeaking callers get blocked forever! Good riddance!

Got this number after two blocked calls from 5629812700  AIM RESEARCH.  Smart a$$es.  Several scammers use this ploy.  We're on to you Suckers.

The exact same thing happened to me just now except it was 800-844-8777.

I too got a call from 608-371-6666.  We use NOMOROBO, and that has surely saved my sanity!  This is what I just found on the NOMOROBO website about this number:

If the caller successfully enters the random number (technically called a CAPTCHA), we send the call back to you but we change the Caller id to 608-371-6666 (NOMO). If we didn't do this, the call would get caught in an endless loop.

Here's an example. Let's say that Shady Charity, Inc is making some calls to ask for donations. Their phone number is 800-555-0100 and, of course, it's blacklisted. When they call, they'll hear the message asking them to type in a random number but, since they have live people making the calls, they're able to get through.

You'll first get a call from 800-555-0100 and then it will stop after one ring (because we answered it). After a slight delay (while the worker types the random number) you'll get another call (it'll be the same Shady Charity worker) but this time, the Caller ID will show as 608-371-6666.

We've heard reports that sometimes the Caller ID Name says "MAINE MED CTR". This is incorrect and we're working with our carrier to fix this.

On Monday July 10, 2017 at approximately 3:03 PM, my phone rang 5 times from number 608-371-6666 the caller ID appeared as +16083716666   Since I do not know anyone with the name of +16083716666 or do not recognize the thelephone number 608-371-6666 I did not pick up the receiver.   The call must not have been of any importance because no message was left on my answer machine.

The exact thing just happened here only the first number was 302-343-6045.

NoMoRobo caught the first call and dumped it, but the second call 15 seconds or so later didn't get caught so I guess that are determine to put everyone to misery. I refuse to buckle under to these enslaughts. What do we have to do to get our stupid congress to put a stop to this

Received a call from 1-608-371-6666 at 8:05 PM last night. It rang several times and robocall did not block call. Since I go to bed early and get up to go to work at 1:00 AM, my phone is on night time silencer. I could see the call coming through because phone lit up. Did not answer call. Never answer calls from number I do not recognize.

Just now, didn't answer since have seen these scammers before.

Wow, 37 pages of complaints about this number, and lots of different scams.  Called my land line twice and left no message.

Got a call from 608-371-6666, which NoMoRobo didn't catch, although based on other comments, it should have. I didn't answer and caller didn't leave a message.

I picked up because it looked like a familiar number and I live in this area code zone. This low life with a very heavy accent tried to clean my computer of a nasty virus. Before I said bye bye, he asked for a credit card number. Call is now blocked.

6083716666 is the number that is used by Nomorobo to return the call back to you.  When a live person calls, and gets redirected to nomorobo, they hear a message and are asked to enter a special number.  The live person then enters this number, and Nomorobo returns the call back to your telephone number.  It is their way of insuring important calls get through.  You can read about it on their website.

+16083716666 Blocked several times. For some reason this number has still not been deleted or removed.
My phone company has only a small 25 phone number blocking limit, and unfortunately NoMoRobo doesn't catch it.

My situation was exactly the same! Nomorobo picked it up the first time, them immediately another number came in and got through!

This is Nielsen TV Ratings company.  If you signed up with their services, they are calling you with a survey.

Called last night at 6:45 pm.  Heard nothing since blocked by robo program.
