Caller ID: "MICHIGAN" Didn't leave a message. Scam.

Hard to understand as the Indian accent was quite thick - pretty much the same scam as all the above comments.  "Rapid Secure" (I think was the name of the company) was the licensor from which I got my Windows license and now they were detecting problems with my computer.   After arguing with him a bit over how they could have been involved in the license I have for Windows, he hung up.

For the 1st time, got a woman with an Indian accent - up until now, has been all men for this tired, old, "computer problem" scam.  The woman asked how I was, and I told her that my computer was on fire.  She hung up on me before we could continue lying to one another.  Usually isn't worth blocking the numbers for this scam - as they are spoofed and constantly changed.

Got a call from this number. Mandated with your computer is... and that's as far as he got before I started raising hell with him. Told him to get a real job instead of living off people that are not aware of the scam. Told him he was a piece of sh** , he was speechless, let me rant. Never said another word and he hung up. Put the number on my speed dial and it is a Verizon wireless number.

SCAM - No one will call & let you know you have malware or virus on your computer. LOL

Got a call from this number, heavy Indian accent. Said he was with a security company and my computer keeps on sending spam messages to their business. Asked me to go to my computer immediately and he would guide me through the proble...........ya sure, cold day in hell before that happens. Told him I would call him back tomorrow and to give me his phone number. He gave me 18885774003. Haven't dialled it and don't plan to........such a scam.

Just received a call from this number. It says its from Michigan. They wanted to talk to me about my computer. I told him to stop calling me and I hung up.  This person could barely speak English.

Got this call and the woman with heavy accent said she was some security outfit and my computer had a number of hidden viruses. Now since I am A+ and Net+ certified I have been wanting to get one of these that have gotten around my blocked numbers. I just acted extremely concerned and not real computer savvy. She had me go through steps and asked what I see and I gave her some off the wall answer. Finally she had some guy get on the phone and talked me through a bunch of steps then said yes you have viruses and his tech was going to have to have access to my computer to help. At that point I said stop right there I just want to tell you and at that point he quickly hung up. :) I kept them going for 18 min just to waste their time and hopefully that will be a few less that got called during that time. :)

The man with a thick Indian accent said they have info about my computer having downloaded a virus.  I asked if they were with Microsoft and he said no but are are an authorized something something.  I acted like I was following his instructions until I played a Youtube video with farting noises.  He was even resilient enough to stay on the line a few seconds after that!

My son just received a call - call display showed 616-502-8489.  The caller said his name was Allan Parker, Senior Technical Advisor with ZATEsecure.  Told my son that with the recent YAHOO hack that his computer was compromised.  He instructed my son to go to a DOS prompt screen then told him he needed a shield installed and that our anti-virus was outdated then asked for a credit card number.  At that point, my son became suspicious, told the caller he would have to call me for my credit card number and the caller held on the other line while my son called me.  he provided my son with a reference ID number and call back number of 1-888-577-4003.  I instructed him to shut down right away and hang up on the caller.  I phoned our computer manufacturer to confirm my suspicions and it was a 100% scam to get our credit card info.

I received the call yesterday from these morons and I did not answer. Caller ID displayed "wireless caller". Anyway, after reading the posts concerning this caller I'm laughing because you would think if someone is attempting to scam you they could at least speak in such a manner and accent that could be understood. But no, you get an idiot with a foreign and sloppy language that you have no idea what is being said. These people are a total joke and that is why they are in the scam business because they are unable to find meaningful employment due to very low IQ's.

Try calling this number back and a message from verizon wireless says this number is not in use. Told him he should get a real job and stop ripping people off.

They said they were from Microsoft and wanted me to open my admin settings due to a virus coming through email when we have other sites open.  We have Malware and it works great.  I told him that it was weird to get a phone call and I was going to talk to my husband and I hung up.  Indian accent in a loud call center.  Scammers!

This number has called my phone 79 times minimum as my phone registers how many times a number calls. HEAVY Indian accent could not make out who he said he was or where he worked. Told him twice that I was not interested in him helping me and he of course proceeded to explain to me what was wrong with my computer and I needed to get it looked at because I had viruses on it. When at last I said "I have asked you politely twice that I am not interested in your help and to stop calling me" he hung up.

Male voice with heavy Indian accent called and said "Hello ma'am. How are you today?" Since I know he could really care less, I hung up without a word. Was that rude of me? The call display said only that it was an unknown caller at 616-502-8489. I tried to block the number but my call block service said the number was not available to block. I guess they are learning how to hide themselves. Merry Christmas, everyone! Your computers are fine. Even if you don't own one.

This number keeps calling, along with various other throw away numbers, all from the same source I'm sure. 6165028489.

Just received call at my office number.  Came up as a MI call but when I answered, there was no one (and no background noise on the line).  After a few seconds it clicked and hung up.  After reading everything here I kinda wished they would have told me my computer had a virus.  I love asking them if I can catch the virus and if I need to go to the doctor! ;-)

I still say these calls are related to all the call centers in India used by American companies. Yeah they could be using computer dialing but that wouldn't give them the personal information they have, and researching prior to calling would not be cost effective.

Dear Mr. Trump, please ban (or at least heavily tax) off-shore call centers.
