Called and I did not answer. Caller let it ring through until voicemail picked up. Caller did not speak.

I cannot believe that these people are so stupid.  Their ploy does not work.  It is the flimsiest scam.

Not everyone is as computer literate as you think you are.

Just got a call from this number.  These folks don't seem to know when to stop calling my number.  I asked the guy, sounded like and East Indian, to explain to me what the problem was with my computer.  I think he recognized the tone of my voice and hung up.

Why is this unknown telephone number from the USA telephoning me in Canada? If Trump is serious about Homeland Security he should start with dealing with the criminals operating from USA attempting to scam people to  hack their personal computers. Fed up with these calls originating out of Canada to my home telephone number.

For heaven's sake, the computer scammers aren't in the US, they are in India or Pakistan.  They are spoofing US numbers.

Rcvd a call from this phone #.  Man with heavy accent  saying problem on my computer. He's full of crap ! I told him to stop calling me or I will report him to States Attorney.  He didn't  care about that ! He just kept on talking !  I looked up the phone # he was calling from ,  and that is not a good number! Why doesnt he call all of his friends  in his country instead of bothering me! There should be a law against being besieged by all these unwanted calls!

I've received a call from this number two days in a row.  I blocked the number.  It's best not to answer calls from numbers that you don't recognize.  Thanks to all who post here.

Got the call from the 616-502-8489 and then a few minutes later 519-583-2863 saying that my PC is filled with 11,273 viruses. Wow!! That was awfully quick since I just bought the PC about a week ago. So I just played the game with him and he was saying he was with Microsoft technical support in Montreal. I told him I work there and what area of the floor he is on, he must think I am stupid as he said I am standing and I don't see you. So I let him have his fun and make him think he was getting into my system and let him go on for about an hour. I then decided to just lay into him and well I don't think I will get another call anytime soon from him..lol

The calls are all similar.  The caller, wth an Indian accent, says he is calling from the Windows Technical Department and tells me that every time I connect to the internet I am getting harmful files.  Then he asks me to press the Windows Key and R and access Event Logs.  I didn't actually do that, but wanted to hear what he wanted me to do.  Then I told him that in India, 400 million people defecate right out there in the street and I told him to go out there and roll around in it.

CID says ''MICHIGAN''  Why hello, Michigan; what a strange name for a person. If you'd like, you can call me ''WISCONSIN.''

Answered and he asked how are you doing.  I said okay and they hung up. Tried to call number back and it said number invalid or not correct.

I received two calls from the 616 number in 45 minutes, but no matter how hard I tried, could not get a call back number. I used the 888 number that your son got, called them back and asked that they remove my number from their list, that I filed a complaint with the number with the FCC (I actually did) and that I do not want to be part of their scam. Surprisingly, they hung up!

Had fun with this one. Had her talking in circles so bad that a guy got on the phone. They wanted to remove malware from my system. Stopped talking and they called back.

Good advice.
Though,... if you can keep them on the phone wasting as much of their time as possible, it limits the number of people they can attempt to scam. I like letting them think they've got me, then laughing at them.

Rec'd call@1508hrs.  Though it has an American phone number.
I'm more to believe that this number is being SPOOFED from a Third World country.
Best thing to do. Don't pick up. Then BLOCK it.

Received a call from 616-502-8489 this morning. Called ID said Wireless Caller. I have a friend who is suppised tobe getting a new no contract phone, thought it might be her. Caller said his name was David. He said "How are you today ma'am"? I said "what do you want"? He said my internet provider had instructed him that there is a problem with my computer. I'll say there is, my laptop died 6 months ago, so I only have my phone. I did ask him to tell me what kind of computer I have. He told me the internet provider doesn't have that info. I told him exactly what he could do to himself and it started with the letter F. I then hung up. These are the people Trump should be deporting.
