Lady with an Indian accent called from a call center with many voices about my computer.  When I told her this was business with our own mainframe and it couldnt be my computer, she hung up.

Got a call from this number and no message was left. Came up on Caller ID as follows:

Maybe I should get a hobby, but I just LOOOOOVE when these "computer fix" guys call. I like to tell them I have to boot up my computer, follow along s l o o o o o w l y, doing everything they ask, ask them to repeat things and generally waste as much of their time as possible. When they ask me to input a code into their website (don't do it, BTW) and ask me what I see, I go to FTC.gov and innocently read some of the info there on the National Do-Not-Call Registry, asking them if this is the right place, until they realize they've been PUNKED. This time I had them on for 30 minutes, talking to at least 3 different heavily-accented guys. Hey, it is GREAT FUN and the only way I know of to put a permanent end to the problem...

My telephone company allows 12 automatic  "call forwarding" numbers.  So,I suggest you use your call forwarding and forward this number to you state or federal Senator or Congressman.  That's what I do.

(616) 502-8489 called today as "Wireless Call". As a rule, I did not answer. I missed the show, but fortunately we have 800notes to read about these scammers.

As long as you answer the phone and tell them to stop calling, you are fueling the fire. If you have phone ID, just ignore the call. Do not answer!

.. or perhaps ignorance and false expectations. I bet they are promised to make money making these calls. I agree with Tim, is not mental illness, but poverty and need to make a living somehow. I neither defend their cause, nor I answer their calls.

It was Brad from some security outfit telling me that I had a problem with my computer.  Great fun to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person when they call but I didn't have time today so I just put them on my annoying phone hold.  My Panasonic phone has one of the most annoying music on hold feature.  Hope they enjoyed it although it didn't take them long to hang up.

Answered a call from 616-502-8489. This is the second in 2 days.  Woman with thick accent warned that a visit to a website had given my computer a virus.  I went along with the scam until I could retrieve my referee whistle from the drawer and gave her a very loud and long piercing scream of a whistle to end the call.  I hope she is deaf in both ears.

They call Vancouver BC and never leave a message.

They called 3 x yesterday, I answered on the 4th time. They wanted to protect my computer from hackers, needed my computer ID number. Asked me to turn on my computer and they would tell me what to do. Told them I'm not interested. They called one more time after that on same day! Next day, they called 4x. Getting to the point of harassment!

Sounded like a caller from India. Something about viruses on my computer. He hung up after I yelled at him for a while.

Have had this type call before so was not surprised to hear Indian voice saying "I am talking about your computer". I immediately told him I was turning him into the police and he simply hung up. Jerks

Computer scam.  My husband answered and immediately realized it was a scam when the heavily accented caller told him that his computer was infected with a virus and he wanted to help him remove it.  He cussed at the guy and told him to never call again.  They called back three times the same day and once the next day.

I got a call from this number 616-502-8489 and it was a man saying he was with Microsoft Computers and my computer has viruses. I knew it was a scam I have gotten theses calls before so I told him it was a scam and I was reporting it. I hung up and he tried to call me right back which I ignored.

Received a call from this number stating they were calling about my home computer.  I don't have a home computer. Could barely hear the caller due too much back ground noise. clearly a scam.

This number keeps calling my phone. No message. Looked it up on line and it looks like a fraudulent caller.
