I get robo calls.  I so want to get  a real person to attempt to get on the do not call me anymore cuz you are soooo annoying list, but it's all computer.

Perhaps if enough of us harass them we can convince them to remove our numbers or at the very least, we have enough info for the FCC, FTC, and FBI

Got call on landline a few hours ago.  I don't answer numbers I don't know and if it is important they can leave a message.  ID said Credit Card so I'm pretty sure it is the "we can lower your interest rate on credit card" scam.

I received a call from this number today.

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

It is likely a fake telephone number but that does not matter.  It does not matter what the live or automated (robo) caller says, it is likely false information until you are sucked in.  After you return the call to the number they provide (or punch the number they suggest), you find out the real reason and originator of the call.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call such as this one I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  It doesn't matter if it is a fake number or not.  I provide the date, time of the call, what the Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one.  This action lets the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls - and if the FTC want the reports to them to stop - or be reduced- they must stop the unwanted calls by imposing heavy fines or allowing the commercial providers such as Verizon, etc. to block the numbers.

These SPAM companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.  Complaining to this website, other than identifying the caller and letting others know they are not unique, does little to stop the calls.

If more people would complain to the FTC and not just complain on this forum, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one complaint alone.  It takes many complaints before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.

After reaching the website, click on "Continue" which is located in the center of the page near the bottom.  Fill out the form by following the instruction carefully.  It only takes a minute of your time.

Don't just get mad and vent on this website; get even by reporting the number to the FTC.

they call at least once a day. definitely scammers. we have absolutely no credit cards. we are on the do not call list. they lie lie lie.

Anytime my phone announces Unknown, lower interest, a state or some other obnoxious variant we do not recognize we simply let it ring the usual 4 times and never answer. Annoying but not going to waste any time following up.

That is why I use my cell phone for outgoing calls only!

I bought a hand-held air horn at my local marine store. I just press 1 (or whatever they tell me), then wait until I get a live human voice on the line. Then... HONNNNNNNNNNNNK!!!

Don't know how much that rings their bell, but I like to think I'm getting my money's worth.

I call the scam the Rachel from Card Services scam. As far as I know, they don't actually perform a real service. They charge hundreds of dollars to your credit card the instant you give them the credit card number and all they do is to maybe call your credit card company and ask them to lower your interest rates. When your bank says no, they keep the money they charged you although they didn't really do anything. Lots of people have been taken by this one. It is definitely a scam.

616-613-2220 is the most annoying thing! They call me multiple times per week, I can't opt out! OMG I'm going to flip my lid!

The robocall message has the same voice as Rachel from Card services. The robocall voice says, so press one now to take advantage of this today. What they really should have said is, so press one now to be taken advantage of today.

I am on the "Do not Call" list but I still get calls from this number.  They need to be stopped

Rich. I'm using it to a file a complaint w/ the Do Not
Call Registry @ 1-888-382-1222. And I would advise all concerned to do likewise. If we can make it more costly for these weasels to do business, maybe just maybe. we can reduce their numbers. Band together my friends, there are a heck of a lot more of us than there are of them. It's a war of attrition ! it's worth 3 minutes of your time to file that complaint -- just do it !

Same message, but the Obama administration has no desire to get rid of this scum.  It hits them too close to home.

Thank you for posting this info. I called Lucre, Inc. and filed a complaint regarding this client. I mentioned the numerous complaints online regarding this "Card Services" company and he was not surprised. He asked for the number from which the calls were being made and my number so that he could add it to their "blocked call" list. I recommended that they drop that client and he said that hopefully if they get enough blocked #'s they will just cancel their account. I suggest people call Lucre, Inc @ 616.361.0128 and complain.

NEVER ANSWER UNKNOWN NUMBERS.  Google the unknown number to ascertain ownership.  Assign any undesirable number to a file of the Android phone book.  Then, give that entire file a 'silent' ringtone.  While it may be necessary to do this for each unwanted number, it prevents repeat calls.

They sold you known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.
