I never answer these harassing calls, and reported a recent one to my local police department.  Most of these calls are coming from out of country, but appear to be coming from within by means of spoofing.  I pick up the phone without saying anything and keep hitting the # key very fast for a good 60 seconds.  It gives the sound of a phone that has been disconnected or a fax machine.  You may still get the call a time or two, but it will eventually stop because they think they have reached a disconnected phone.

They called while I was on the phone, I called them back from my work phone because my cell battery was low - after about 10 rings the call cut off with "Call forbidden by the Administrator".....?

Called my 10 cent per minute cell phone that is on the do not call list.  I did not recognize the number so I went here instead of answering.

Told person to stop calling.  He made obscene remark. I said thank you & hung up.

They just called. I didn't pick up. No message left.

Stop this BS !

I also have received numerous calls saying this is my "last chance" to have my credit card fees reduced.  SCAM!  I don't have CCs!  Why do these guys get prosecuted for fraud and identity theft?  

Why don't you have SCAM as an option for phone type?

Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it.

Just called, didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.  Just one of these types of calls im getting.  Changing my number in a week or so.

Go online and check their info first. When they call tell them you will call them back and don't ever call back.

20 min before this call I rec'd one from another scammer.  BET they are the same scammers.

Well, I just got a call from these people too, and I don't have any credit issue problems either.  Here is what you can do though to stop these calls:  Hang up on them; Report them to the donotcall.gov website and also call the FTC themselves to report it and tell them when they called and on what day it was too.  Please do not press any numbers on the phone that would say "if you would like to be on the do not call list, press this number".  If you press that number on the phone keypad, then you will get these calls for at least 2 more weeks to 2 months non-stop.

These people call me three times a week.  I want them to STOP calling.   They also call from

616.613.2079 and 2359

They want to discuss lowering interest rates.  I don't pay interest on my charge.   How can I get them to stop calling?

Got the cal from 616-613-2220 Lower Interest with prerecorded message.  Yes I am on do not call list.

Call this # back, select option #2 to be removed from the "Call List". I hope this will stop those annoying calls.

The only way myself and others have stopped the "card services" scammers calls is to waste their time.They will soon learn there is no reason to call your number and it will be removed from their robodialer list. Google my name to learn how to eliminate their annoying calls, while also having some fun!

Call from 616-613-2220. Didn't answer because I was on another call. But, I have been waiting for a call from some Michigan VW dealers so I didn't know if this was a number from thier area or not. Appears it was a crap call. So, I've added 616-613-xxxx to my BLOCK list. I use Magic jack and phonesofts tools that allow me to block all inbound calls that meet a specific number(s).  I started this back during the elections. What a life saver. So, after reading some of the responses, I offer this.

Answer the call. Let them give you the spill. Act very interested. Then tell them there is someone, maybe UPS at the front door and could they please hold on. Set the phone down and walk away (or mute it). After about 2 or 3 minutes, I've gone as long as 5, they will get the message and hange up. If anything, this wastes time for them and if they are stupid, they will call back, and you can start the cycle over again. If they are going to waste your time, might as well get some fun out of it. Just sayin.

I got a call from 616-613-2220 today- automated call from "LOWER INTEREST". To reduce my credit card interest rate. I pushed 1- I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and they are not a non-profit group. When the guy answered, I asked for his name- ROGER UMMM.. LAST NAME?  PAUSE... CARVER. What company? ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE". I asked for phone number- he gave me a different one from my caller id. 1-800-277-4653,  ( haven't checked it out yet.)  I  Asked for company addtess.. HE HUNG UP ON ME!
I called the number back- they have info if you wantt to file a complaint with FTC CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS HOTLINE 1-888-382-1222 & FCC CONSUMER HOTLINE. 1-888-225-5322. I CALLED THE FTC HOTLINE AND FILED A COMPLAINT and called the company back and left a NICE message @ being on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY & harrassment & what all I was going to do about their SCAM COMPANY. Later today, I will post on every site I can and probably call them back 15 times like they called me.  THEY ARE A SCAM!!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD OR PERSONAL INFO OVER YHE PHONE OR ONLINE UNLESS "YOU" INITIATE THE CALL. AND DON"T USE THESE CARD SERVICES- THEY ARE BOGUS THIEVES. AND IF THEY CONTACT YOU---- COMPLAIN LOUDLY!

Sunshine,  the reason these bottom feeders get by with calling those of us on the DNC list is because they are Scammers.  The have no regard and could care less about the registry. Our FTC does look for them  and have caught some in recent times but it is an almost impossible task to run them down with spoofed numbers and hidden identities.   In reality,  if they were a legitimate company, they would definately be subject to  complaints and receiving a hefty  fine for all the crap they do...day after day.. after day...Maybe the government will authorize drone strikes when they find them........keep the faith....There are thousands of us,   just like you who are sick and tired of these Toads and wish something permanent could be done....
