And Yet another call received - we didn't answer it (never do) - blocked it from calling again...

Keep calling about reducing credit card rates. Ha ha we don't have any credit cards. We are on the do not call list and still get 3-5 calls a day like this. About to turn my phone off for good. I rarely get these kinds of calls on my cell.

These maroons call from 616-613-2079 also.  We never answer, but they just keep calling.  If they call more than 5 times, they get blocked.  Unfortunately, my phone only blocks 20 numbers at a time.  I was reporting all these bogus numbers to DNC and the Federal DNC, but it was time consuming.  All I got back from them was an email stating thank you for reporting and they are working on the problem, blah, blah, blah.  Yeah okay....

They are not scammers. They are an annoying pain in the ass.  They are a company that takes people in debt to banks and works out payment plan. Problem is, even if you are not in debt, they constantly call.  They have been calling  me, every 3 weeks, for ---I kid you not--7 years.     In  beginning I was nice, kept telling them to take me off list.  I got: Hang ups,    and promises (lies) I would be taken off list.  I am on do not call registry,;useless. I tried blocking them: can't.  

THEY CALL FROM DIFFERENT NUMBER EVERY 3 WEEKS!

Well they changed their identity to Credit Cards per caller id.  They said that this is the 2nd time they called and that this is my last chance to lower my credit card rates.  When I said that I am on the do not call list, and stop calling, he just hung up.

Did not answer. Left message about credit card billing.

Call The number back and you can opt to be removed.  I did.

616-613-2220 woman asked me to suck a private part and then asked about my credit card rates... she told me abour her breasts and how big her butt was. very scary call

Account Services calling again to Lower your CC Interest Rate.

They say they know I have paid my bills and am eligable for lower Interest, so, I said Great, you know which cards have the highest rate, he hangs up.

- Just seeing how long I can keep them on the phone to keep them from SCAMing someone else.

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their scam then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.

5.    People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office

This is an all out attack from these scum suckers! EVERYONE should be reporting them everywhere that they can. Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft the FBI should be forced to get involved. (Prosecute them in criminal court instead of civil penalties).

Many of these calls are coming from Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false) numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in this country and they all know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC.
Most of the inbound robo call numbers are spoofed, as most of the bolierhouses, both off and on shore, are using Voip SIP Trunks services. Throwaway DID numbers are also used. Some of the robocalling is operated by the end use scammers directly. Others are contract services who earn a referral fee once you are transferred to the scammers.

The criminals behind this operation aren't going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them almost nothing and they make millions of them so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.
Unfortunately blowing an air horn or whistle doesn't work either. Their headset have noise dampeners plus they are expecting it. However with that said if it makes you feel better then by all means give it a shot.

The banking system is also at fault here, without merchant accounts and ACH processing these criminals could not collect the scammed funds. Though the criminals use obfuscation, layered corporations, multiple bank accounts and offshore stashing, patterns of obvious fraudulent activity become apparent after a very short time.

If you want to stop these calls then you need to dry up their revenue source. Your phone company is charging you a fee for Caller ID. Your phone company pays the scammer for sending their Caller ID information. Your phone company pays only a fraction of a cent per call and you pay your phone company to have the Caller ID displayed. The scammers send out millions of calls which amounts to a significant amount of money however your phone company is charging a large amount to millions of customers. This may have something to do with the phone companies inability to stop these calls.
In order to stop this we need legislation making it illegal to charge for caller ID. If a phone service wishes to operate it would need to provide the Caller ID at no charge as part of the service. Here is the $50,000 solution that the FCC is looking for and it doesn't cost anything.

I get these calls all the time. Just received one and asked who she was with, immediate hang up.
You can block the # . Look in the front of your telephone directory and it will give you a list of options, one of them being a option for block. They will probably call from another #.

The caller id said lower internet. Never left a message

Got a phone call (10:41am) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.  
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

My problem with call blocking services or apps on an Android phone, is that if the spammer chooses to call you from ":No name" or "No number", the applications will not work. They do not block those types of calls, to my knowledge. If this is false, then please let me know and I will get an app immediately!

Called my cell phone, I didn't pick up.  Left no message.  Just harrassment of some kind, I'm sure.  Two calls today at different times from two different unknown numbers!  I submitted all our phone #s to the Do Not Call Registry - hope it works.

this is about the 12h Call I have received in the past 2 months...the woman was nasty and ugly....I told her that I DO NOT own a credit cards.....her reply...I only collect information....excuse me....a problem.....how can we stop this ....

It doesn't work they will be calling you.  I did the same thing and the calls increased.

I just received a call from 616-613-2220, but did not answer.  I have an answering machine with a "calls will not be answered" feature.  When I turn it off, the phone will ring 5 times and the caller will get the following message:  THIS MAILBOX IS UNABLE TO TAKE MESSAGES AT THIS TIME.  PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.  I love this feature!  Since I have caller ID, I can pick up to answer those calls I want to take.  I don't have to listen to any unwanted messages, nor listen to some jerk that is trying to scam me.  It seems to be working, cause the same number calls maybe 3-4 times after that, and the scum bags don't call again.  Of course, other scum bags do call, but they'll get the same message every time.

Does this include 800 numbers, i.e., 806, 809, etc??  If so, where did you buy such a wonderful piece of invention???
