Telefunken is who is calling.  I don't pledge money or give my credit card number to anyone  over the phone. EVER. I'm sick of these calls .

I am writing to report this phone constant calling and harrassing me. I am on the no call registry.

I get calls from this number every day.  Sometimes I just let it ring sometimes I pick up but there is no one there.  I want these calls stopped now.

Thank you for this post.  We were getting a lot of calls from another number ((661) 670-2582 with CNAM "NRDC") a couple weeks ago.  They called so often, never leaving a message, that I finally used one of our carrier's precious few blocklist entries to stop listening to their rings.  We got our first call from (617) 292-7701 with CNAM "TELEFUND INC" today.  Thanks to your post I have a good idea who gave them our number, so they get a spot on the blocklist for a while now, too.  Cheers!

My family belongs to the Sierra Club which gave my information to this Company in Boston MA whose business is representing companies such as the one to which I belong. I called the Sierra Club and have been taken off their list that they distribute to companies such as this. This company's business is trying to get money for "causes". Know that companies with which YOU do or have done business with may have given YOUR contact information to this company. This company with this callerID is likely calling on behalf of many companies who pay them to bug you. You should (1) register your phone numbers with wwww.donotcall.gov (Federal Trade Commission) (2) Have at least one of your house phones with callerID feature so you can see number before answering - on a cell phone you already have this feature (3) don't answer calls for numbers not in your address book - long lost cousins and real businesses will leave messages so not to worry about missing a call truly important (4) report robots to www.complaints.donotcall.gov and (5) tell those wanting information or money or any such stuff that you don't participate in surveys and you don't donate to anyone or any organization that calls you. Please share these tips with others.

got same call. Said it was the IRS and there is a warrant out for my arrest..... then disconnected. Voice was computer generated.

They keep trying to get through even though my blocker shuts it down after one ring.  Continuing to block...

Calls two or three times a day, even though I've blocked them they only show up on Caller ID.  These calls are no longer marketing or fundraising calls they are harassing calls because they know they are blocked.

They call and won't leave a message. The caller I.D. appears as "Telefund Inc" and would lead to believe that they are raising funds for a cause, but the fact that they continue to call and won't leave a message or answer when you pick up,  makes me think that they are looking for active numbers to sell to telemarketers.

First time they've called me. I didn't hear it ring, and the message was, "Can I please speak to..." and then a hang-up, I guess when he realized it was voicemail. I usually assume somebody who hangs up when I answer is checking to see if anybody's home before they break in.

Telefund called me at 8 pm claiming to represent one of the environmental groups I have donated to. They identified me by name. Right away I told them it was dinnertime and I resent being called in the evening. I said I support that group but I do not appreciate being called at my home at night and to please call back during normal business hours. The idiot guy completely ignored what I said and started to tell me that there was a special offer I should know about. I repeated that I was serving dinner to my family and asked him not to call me again at night. Too bad a good charity is associated with this kind of telemarketing.

I doubt that you could legitimately call an environmental group a charity.  They may enjoy non profit status and not have to pay taxes, but that doesn't make them a charity.   I would also question how they are spending the money, something that could be easily checked out.  If they are resorting to using a third party to solicit funds for them, I would then question how much money is actually going to the group since most call centers are set up to enrich the owner of the call center and not the charity.  Oh, and the law states that once you tell them to not call you, they are required to stop.  I doubt that will happen.
